I have added a Skype field in users profile if you want to stick it in there.  It will not be displayed next to your posts but will displayed to registered users who view your Profile field.

can anyone help me please. i've just bought a voip phone and cant set it up.
i assumed it would just connect to my laptop via a usb port, it doesn't even have one!
the box contents were the phone, cradle, batteries and a telephone wire.
i have the doro arc 3 phone and a laptop with t-mobile mobile broadband dongle and no landline any advice on setting it up would be great

First off, I'm fairly sure T-Mobile mobile broadband doesn't allow you to make VOIP calls.

Secondly, and more importantly, the phone you have bought is just that.  A regular phone.

Did you know you can phone the United States for 1.5p/minute on Skype? That's brilliant!

We use it for ringing family abroad who also have Skype so it is actually free for those voice calls.

It is a bargain and the call quality is surprisingly good I've found.

For all those wanting to use it for games it's much better than the in-game communications on most games.

My laptop's got a built in mic and i just stick a pair of earphones in for now.

Any recommendations for good ones cheaper than the ones above? Preferrably wireless so I don't need to have the laptop, computer next to me?

If you've got a decent PSP they work on that!

Built in mic and handier than the laptop! That's my next aim anyways, because it's not always possible to use the PC when I'm online as the missus has stuff to do! :

But rather than shelling out over a hundred quid why don't you just get a wireless headset and plug the sender in to the PC's USB port?

Yep, that's the one. I've got the original too. Bit gutted the new one got all the stuff I'd probably use but sod's law isn't it?

OK have this installed now - dmosbon is my 'handle'. Need a wireless headset as my PC is not near my PS3.
