Agger - wonderful play though he is - is too injury prone, he is unreliable, he won't play more than 20 games. We need to sell.

I agree, but be prepared to be blasted for taking this stance!  He is one of my favorite players, but sentimentality aside, he is not reliable because of injuries.  We need to get a a solid/composed defender who is good on the ball and will consistently be available for selection. 

Aqua and Agger are both really good defenders. Can't seem to recall if I have seen them together this season or not, but both of them are quality. Problem is if you spend the majority of your time defending the ice cooler and not the goal the salary paid is just a wasted resource. So for as much as I like the both of them if more consistent players can be had I would not have a problem letting both of them go.

Aqua and Agger are both really good defenders.

I was all for the idea of buying another DM, but after his performances lately, esp City + Arsenal, can Lucas really win that place for himself. I think he can. Improving every game he is.

May not be too realistic but i think this team would compete for the league without a doubt. I would have thought about buying a new DM but Lucas is playing very well lately and it would be harsh to replace him with a new signing that could possibly take as long as Lucas has done to settle in and get playing well. Sakho - 15m, Cissokho 20m, Sanchez 30-35m, Young 15m (will only have a year left on his contract). I have a feeling though that we won't be spending this much in the summer (unless we sell players that can make a decent contribution to the transfer budget). This thread is starting to look a hell of a lot like the "Who do you want this summer" thread.

The only problem I have with that is that even though I wouldn't mind Cissokho, he would just block the path for Jack Robinson. I believe Robinson will be our future LB and he will stay at Liverpool for his career. Get a LB who is good enough for the first team, but he won't block Robinson's path. Enrique would be my choice.

Well we need a left back. Auerlio is injured more times then not and Konchesky is simply crap.

Use Robinson as 3rd choice left back (if Auerlio is fit). Don't want to play him to much and ruin him like we did Insua. Should progress him slowly.

There is only 2 years difference. Would rather have the quality to help us win trophies now and that is Cissokho. Either way, Robinson won't be ready for the first team on a regular basis for quite a few years yet and it would provide competition. Would rather spend £20m on Cissokho than £15 on Enrique.

You think Carra should be a starter next season?

I don't see Kenny dropping him.

I think everyone knows by now i'd prefer Mexes.

I,m sorry guys but i still think we could save ourselves a hell of alot of money by moving Glen Johnson into the RW position. 35 million is alot of money to buy someone like Sanchez e.g. Can you imagine that right hand side with Kelly at RB and Johnson at RW. I think Johnson would be up for it if Kenny had a quite word in his ear. If we did go for Ashley Young we would have 2 fantastic wingers who can whip in a cross for the Big Yin to get hold of. I just think buying someone like Sanchez for that amount of money is a mistake when we have players here who could do the job well. We,ve got some of the kids as back up now in the full back positions, we just need a quality left back for 1st team place.

TBH I would rather not have Johnson on the wing. Spend the 30 million on Sanchez and get a NATURAL right winger and leave johnson at RB.

Good team but surely if you get Enrique for less than 10m buy another CB.

This whole 'move johnson to RW/RM' is driving me nuts (makes a change from the wife doing it though!)
I think people think he would be good there because he isn't dependable @) and we want to find a spot for him.
He ain't Bale (though they both share a lack of defensive total ability) but at least consistently puts in a decent cross and beats his man. Johno rarely looks up when he has the ball @ his feet and is poor with his crossing in comparison to what we expect of a proper RM/RW.
When he beats a man its because of luck or the opponents poor judgment rather than skill.
I want kelly @ RB and want a proper RB/RW rather than putting a square peg in a round hole just because he is on our books and cost a tonne of dosh.
Play him @ LB if needed because he has looked ok there or he needs to improve to dislodge kelly.

Aguero seems unrealistic. Though would love to have him. i'd w*nk myself..., TO THE DEATH!   If not, Gerrard to move in as CAM and the 4-1-2-1-2 formation. Some competition for Lucas too, though he's already good enough ..
