Every season is the same for me. If we don't win the league I want us to get into the European Cup. Failing that I want us in the Europa League and trying to win everything we are in.

Fed up with all this talk of avoiding competitions because we have to focus on others.

Find it funny that 5th place is suddenly classed as a "poisen chalice" by these pundits as we conveniently overtake Spurs.

You can bet if the scum were 6th place, getting to 5th would be a wonderful chance for them to get something out of the season.

Haha, definetely trying to make excuses for Spurs, as if you wouldn't want to finish as high as you could.

If we qualify it's a great opportunity to blood the youngsters

I'll not be "Blooding" the youngsters, it's wrong and very illegal. :D

They're looking out for their pal 'Arry. 1 win since they beat Milan and they haven't even got food poisoning this season

Can't wait for next season and the seasons to come when we are unstoppable, just like when Sir Bob was managing us, cos that's just what KK is bringing back to the club.

No-one will be able to stop us and I can't wait for all those anti-Liverpool commentators to squirm at our success.

Kenny will play the kids in Europe next season if we get there. He'll use it to Liverpool's advantage because he's King Kenny and he always does.

Just made up with that result, and yes Shearer, you fukcing tw*t, we do want to qualify for the europa league. It's a natural progression for a team in the asscendancy, prior to winning the prem and the champions league. No good qualifying for the C.L. before you're properly prepared now is it. Just ask Harry. HA. HA. HA.  With a couple of decent signings in the summer, we will be the scourge of europe once again.

Thought Roy Evans post match comments on Europa were brilliant. He said something along the lines of,

"The Europa League competition really doesn't get going until the last 16. If we earn a place we should be able to use our youngsters to get a place in the round of 16 and then really push for a trophy."

That would be great for us. I feel if we do make a big splash in the transfer market, players like Jack Robinson, Spearing, Flano, Shelvey, Pacheco (hopefully), etc.. can all get first team football next year.

Not the most polished performance but the hunger and desire to win the game was there.

Well in lads and Kenny too!

In the last few months the difference for me is that we look more like scoring.  Six months ago at 1-0 you were concerned that we might concede - yesterday I was just waiting for the 2nd....

These performances with goals is making me wonder how many players we really need to sign in summer. Today's performances make me a true believer that the squad we have right now, can be good without any more signings. However, we do have areas that need to be addressed, but a squad overhaul isn't necessary.

Agreed. I thought it wasn't a great performance. Of course being able to say that about a 3-0 victory makes me smile.

Suarez was my MOTM. His second half performance was wonderful. Spearing was great also. And I think we're getting spoiled with Lucas, his form has been top shelf of late, I hardly even considered him for MOTM because it was what I've become used to seeing every week from him. Gotta give a mention to Kuyt as well. He running all over the place today and his feed to Suarez on his goal was perfect.

And if getting to fifth doesn't secure Kenny the job as the full-fledged manager then I'll fly out to wherever John Henry is and kick him square in the.................face .

Voted Kuyt, i was openly critical of Dirk six months ago his touch had gone and although his work rate was still there i thought he was struggling.

Kenny comes along and he is a different player,so my vote isn't just for Dirk it's for Kenny aswell and the wonderful job he has done since he came back to us.Yesterday wasn't pretty but it's what we needed to do.It's a joy being a Liverpool fan again. Thanks Kenny and thanks Dirk Kuyt and your work rate.

I loved how we could control the match when we wanted to. Newcastle were close in the first half, after we took it easy. But then in the second half we controlled it again.
      Really missed us controlling games!
