Playing devil's advocate, it does make a difference if they sign early in the window as opposed to on the last day of the window.  It is good for new players (especially if they are coming from a foreign league) to be able to settle into life before being thrown straight into training and playing.  Also, it helps for them to have a few weeks of preseason to get to know their new teammates before the important league games begin.  The transfer window typically closes after a few weeks of the league season have already passed...  So, for both the context of this thread as well as the importance of team chemistry and togetherness, it does matter when our new players begin to arrive this summer

I'm hoping that most of our deals are done early on.  One thing I've been sick of over the years is us dragging our feet on f**king transfers.

We need a calm, orderly summer with no International distractions.  A proper pre season with few or no injuries and the team ready to go, fighting fit for the new campaign.

Forget Kenny and Comolli leading the way, apparently Zaroni and Big Andy are the ones to lead us back to the glory days.
