I'm going to go for a ludicrous one (I want that mystery prize!) and go for Alexis Sanchez for 33 million pounds.  He will come in and take over the # 10 shirt, meaning Joe Cole will be on his way out :)

Does it really matter who we sign first? It doesn't matter if they sign on the first day of the window or the last. As long as their playing in a red shirt is the only important thing.

Playing devil's advocate, it does make a difference if they sign early in the window as opposed to on the last day of the window.  It is good for new players (especially if they are coming from a foreign league) to be able to settle into life before being thrown straight into training and playing.  Also, it helps for them to have a few weeks of preseason to get to know their new teammates before the important league games begin.  The transfer window typically closes after a few weeks of the league season have already passed...  So, for both the context of this thread as well as the importance of team chemistry and togetherness, it does matter when our new players begin to arrive this summer  >:D

I'm hoping that most of our deals are done early on.  One thing I've been sick of over the years is us dragging our feet on f**king transfers.

We need a calm, orderly summer with no International distractions.  A proper pre season with few or no injuries and the team ready to go, fighting fit for the new campaign.

Forget Kenny and Comolli leading the way, apparently Zaroni and Big Andy are the ones to lead us back to the glory days.

And I highly doubt any of the 5 you just listed will, either.

Out of that list, I reckon Raheem Sterling has the best chance of wearing a Liverpool shirt :D

But they have more of a chance than Ozil and Bale, and I disagree on that one, well apart from Neymar, I rekon all of them would come to liverpool.

Sylvain Marveaux on a bosman free. The terms are set, but we have to wait for the window to open.

Also, whoever asked when the period opens, it's June 1st.

Wrong on both accounts ... You can sign a Bosman in the last 6 months of his contract, and the transfer window officially opens on July 1st ...
