Coaching kids football.
May 14, 2011 10:27:06 pm
I,ve been coaching the kids from my boys school, primary 3, for a year now and the results havent been great (even worse than Roys).
I was wondering if anybody here has any advice or recommend any books or manuals that could help us out.

Results shouldn't matter at that level, it's about ball learning the basics, ball control, passing, tackling etc., but most importantly, at that level, it should be about fun.

Roddenberry is right. Learn the basics as he has stated but it should be fun first and foremost.

Totally agree with what you are saying its about fun and kids development and not results. So from there can anyone advise on good coaching books to vary the training sessions that we are doing and try to keep it interesting.

teach them to love and breathe football, to watch games and care about results, to love a club like nothing else. then the football will come
