I'd say top four at least, we were second since Kenny became manager wern't we? Plus Gerrard, Carroll, Kelly, Agger and we could still challenge for the title, but this is a pointless thread anyway, we won't not sign anyone.
That's strange, 27% of people who thought he was MOTM must have no clue.

The Stats from January puts us third in the League.

....but we will sign somebody ....or three.

Not that anyone had a brilliant game, but that was not Flanno's best.

We'd get 5th in my opinion. Saying that, it would depend on who Spurs and City signed over the summer but if the three squads (us, City and Spurs) all stayed the same then I'd think we'd take 5th.

A lot would depend on the other teams around us as well.

Manure will buy again, but will have a very young keeper - can he cope ?
Chavs - Another new coach, and still the Torres / Drogba debate with a spine getting creakier by the year
Arsenal - Will Cesc stay ? Will he get his wallet out ?
Citeh - will buy, but need to get rid of excess squad players as well
Spuds - having a fire sale - may have peaked already

So on that basis, defo top 6, poss top 4 - but we need to stregthen and get rid of some dead wood (cole, jova etc)

But anyway you cut it, 80 points wont be enough to win the league again for a while - so we need to improve by at least 25 pts on this season's finish.

Even with a depleted, depressed squad, losing Torres and then Stevie to injury, we've been one of the best teams since Kenny took over.  Without any investment, assuming other teams strengthen further, we'd be fighting for 4th, we could sneak it, but would be an outside bet.

I still think we could win a cup with our current squad, but no league challenge.

After a discussion with DLS the other night it was mooted by both of us that the good thing to come out of this season was the trust that Kenny has placed in the youth. We have seen the emergence of Shelvey, Spearing, Kelly, Flanno and Robinson. Something we never saw under our previous managers.

We no doubt need investment in the Summer, Henry knows this and i have no doubt they will back Kenny to the hilt. Kenny has maximised the potential of both the youngsters and the senior players here, something our previous managers failed to do. Henry knows that Kenny will only identify players with potential or world class quality, there'll be no squad fillers with Kenny here, he only wants improvement and that means quality over quantity. We're not too far off, a couple of wingers, a central midfielder and possibly a left back.

Aurelio and Agger have been so unlucky with injuries, i hope they pull through. There is no doubting that these boys are in the top three in their positions in the League when fully fit.

He got mullered against Villa, didn't matter who it was, Albrighton, Downing or Young, they all had his number Sunday, but was a good lesson for the lad.
You were watching another game mate, anyway in my opinion without signings I think we would finish fifth but we still don't have the quality to break the top four as a couple of injuries expose our lack of depth, even with our strong academy

How many games in before we're marching against these owners?

Given their record in other sporting ventures, don't think it would ever come to that mate. ;D

I'll hang fire on sending these blokes round to Henry's gaff.

Gonna agree with Barnesy's comments this week.

KK can maximise any squad. The maximising of the squad we have probably won't win us the league. 3 or 4 quality first team signings alongside KK's management and we are in with a shout.

Therfore no signings - no challenge.

As others have said though, there will be signings.

Lets just hope they are the right ones. I have faith though.

hmm, you never know, maybe a few more youngsters will come through next year who will improve our 1st team squad even further. They will have obviously been given a big lift this season, knowing that Kenny will give them a chance if they put the work in. I have high hopes for the likes of Sterling, Pacheco, Suso and Coady. So you never know, we could challenge to get back in the top four if we made no signings at all. But it would certainly be an achievement and probably against the odds.

...anyway, with Kenny and Comolli on the case, im expecting at least a few players to be arriving this summer!
