I was 11 year old remember being plonked in front of the TV watching it, back then remotes had wires and VCR's were top loaders and CD/DVD players had not been invented.

Was absolutely gutted to see us lose the title like that, especially to the 1 nill to the Arsenal, who back then were the most boring Football team around in their style of play, grab a goal and shut up shop.

Didn't we sign Michael Thomas the following season too or was it two seasons after can't remember now, long time ago.

It didn't matter too much though, we knew we'd be back to winning titles straight after!  :f_wah:

God how can i forget,i had to watch this match in a pub called the bears head in macclesfeild which happened to be rammed with united fans ,when that goal went in my legs buckled and i slumped into a seat..........que mass piss taking and me getting my coat sharpish.

Always remember the entire stadium aplauding arsenal of the pitch, would that happen these days?i think not.

I was, something like our third game within the space of a week. First time I've really felt numb after a Liverpool defeat.

I still love the fact one that the player that won Arsenal's first championship in some 17 years is now more of a Liverpool fan than a Arsenal fan!!

My brother said he was a nice fella when he bumped into him while we were waiting around for our flight back from Istanbul.
