Dalglish has sold players at their peak in the past - Rush and Aldo come to mind straight away IKWT

Banega is a carbon copy of Adam just better, Raul is completely different midfielder, much more adaptable and with much more running to his game than both Banega and Adam.

 I am a fan of Banega but no way in the world he is coming in with Adam. Crazy to think we are talking of selling a player because he is at his peak, madness to be honest.

I see the logic, but I think Kenny rates Raul too much to let him go. As soon as Kenny gave him the freedom to play with a more attacking impetus he went on that tear, something like 5 goals in 6 games (including Everton, Chelsea and his screamer at Molyneux). I think Meireles --> Adam is a big downgrade.

I like Raul. I believe he's has alot to offer to the club. Granted he may lose the ball easily, have poor touches and doesn't go in for the tackles but his movements, shooting and "off and on" passing abilities can help Kenny's football style.

Personally, I'm not really keen on signing Adam.

Would be a big mistake,Raul move us out of the darkness last season,during our worst moments was one of the best players if not the best.And what if we have several midfielders? If we have an injury epidemy like last seasons we might need them all.

He had no option with Rush he wanted to go, he sold Aldridge because he couldn't guarantee him first team football with the arrival of Rush. See the thing here is Raul is actually a better player than Adam

I heard it was Marcia who pushed for this signing, heard he raved about the lad

A comment on the SS website on the Adam story suggests that Meireles actually wants to move for family reasons rather than stay, could this been the real reason behind kenny's focus on trying to get Adam?

So did Andy Carroll while he was Newcastle. So did Aguero a few weeks ago. What players say in the media can easily be lies. 

Completely non sensical in a footballing sense for me.

One of the most promising signings we've had in the past few years, scoring 5 goals, creating the most assists & covering the most ground, all in his first season are a few of the many reasons I would keep him. Not to mention Ive lost count of the amount of interviews that Kenny has given regarding how much he rates Raul. Think he is very much apart of his plans.

That is unless Raul wants to leave..

Player of the season for me, better than both Adam and Aqua so it's a No from me I'm out.

read other day can not remember were that he was the most subbed player for lfc last season so that were fitness come into it (i think)maybe he should try an save some energy for longer and last full games were his goal scoring threat will be a massive advantage (last 10 mins ) when other teams getting tired

As Gazza said, according to stats the lad covered the most ground during last season, not just at Liverpool but in the whole league. Honestly don't see it being a fitness issue if there is any validty behind it.
