Alonso schenanigans is a bitter taste also...
I agree that trying to sell Alonso to buy Barry was a massive mistake, but even if that didn't happen, I still think Alonso would still go to Madrid.
Players, especially Spanish players, just don't reject Real Madrid. IMO he still would have moved to Madrid, probably for a little more money though.
