Last night Valerenga lost 2-1 away to the league leader Molde and stayed at the 10th place. I thought it was a battling close challenge and we should expect a tough game at their home soil.

Landing in Norway. Beautiful country, terrific people. Spent time here last summer. Great to be back

Nice to see him following the squad.

Honestly think Kenny will send them out to produce a performance tomorrow, enough fannying about with fringe players who arn't fit to wear the shirt. Expecting to see something like our starting 11 tomorrow bar a couple of exceptions.

Can see us bagging a few goals, but would be more happy with a clean sheet than anything.

I'll go for a win by 2 goals.

As danny says, hopefully as close to the starting 11 as possible.

Yes, it really is time we put out a strong XI and played some decent football, and perhaps actually manage to defend acceptably throughout.

I really want to see  a 4 2 1 3 formation with Adam, Spearing and Aquilani in the middle. If it happens, I think we'll see cohesion , creativity, slick short and long passes and good movement!

      Skrtel's website - :(

      Injured again
      Martin suffered an injury setback.

This is not a good news for all the fans in Liverpool. Martin suffered an injury during training and it is a big blow for his plans. It may rule him out for another few days or even weeks. This is also a reason why he was not present in Liverpool´s friendly against Galatasaray: "I am still not with my team. I suffered  an injury setback on Friday. I felt strong pain in my leg so I am back with the doctors receiving treatment. I really don´t know how long will it take to heal. I am doing my best to be back as soon as possible," Martin told his official website.

Lucas played a large part in the Copa America we may see him for the Arsenal game if we're lucky, but more probably the game after in my opinion.

KD definitely looking for more creativity in the midfield area and sharpness at up front plus a better defending performance at the back. We ain't defend and attack as a team and there are some imbalance in positions which are not good enough.

      Starting XI:
                                      Reina
      Martin Kelly          Carra      Agger              Johnson
                                   Spearing
       Kuyt                    Adam / Hendo                Downing
                           Ngog           Carroll

I'd start with the strongest and give the rest a run in...

      First Half:

      ---------------------Reina---------------------

      Kelly---------Carragher--------Agger------Johnson

      --------------------Spearing---------------------

      ---------Henderson-------------Adam------------

      --Kuyt----------------Caroll------------Downing--

      Second Half:

Like to see Sterling get a run in place of Downing on the left wing.

      Heggem: LFC can help Norway

      1st Aug 2011 - Latest News

Vegard Heggem has admitted Liverpool's presence in Norway for tonight's friendly against Valerenga can help the healing process for a country still devastated by the events of ten days ago.

A car bomb at a government building in Oslo killed eight people while another 69 were shot dead on Utoya Island.

"The whole country is still in shock," admits the former Liverpool defender. "It has affected everyone in a huge way.

"When I saw the pictures on my TV screen I just couldn't believe what had gone on. You ask yourself how this could possibly happen in a small and peaceful country like this.

"It's going to take a long time for people to come to terms with what happened. It will certainly change this country forever."

Liverpool's support in Norway is well known, and a sell-out crowd is expected for tonight's friendly when the Reds will be looking to put on a show for the Scandinavian Kopites.

"I'm really happy that Liverpool are still coming to Oslo to play," added Heggem.

"It means a lot to the club's Norwegian fans when they come to play here.

"Of course everyone is still hurting from what happened here but you can't just stop everything entirely.

"Slowly but surely people are trying to get back to every day life and it's important that as a country we carry on.

"Liverpool as a club is very conscious about values. The club is all about togetherness and that's what people admire about the club.

"It will be good for the people here to come together on Monday and enjoy the game. It's all part of starting to move on."

Valerenga are currently in 10th place in the league table at the midway stage of the campaign, 14 points adrift of the league leaders.

"Norwegian club football is not as good as it was some years ago," Heggem said.

"Valerenga were expected to be serious title contenders here this year but they have disappointed their fans.

"It's a game Liverpool should win quite easily but you have to take into account that Liverpool are in pre-season. Valerenga are in the middle of their season so they will be more match fit.

"It should be a decent test which Liverpool will need with the Premier League starting again soon."

We can give them something to cheer about after that horrible criminal act in Oslo. Surely they'll be remembered and paid tribute at the KO.

I hope in some very small way our being there will help a few people. It would be great if EvenFM's family were sorted with tickets a shirt and got to meet the players.

I still can't even begin to get my head round what happened and my heart goes out to the family and friends of those that were killed.

Given the players who are still injured, and the ones that played a lot of minutes against Gala, I think our starting lineup will be:

                    Pepe
      Johno  Carra  Agger  Aurelio
              Hendo   Adam
      Maxi                      Downing
                 Kuyt
                     Ngog

I'm still confused as to why Kenny had big Andy play with the "reserve" squad on Thursday....  I would have thought he would want to have Carrol and Downing playing together as much as possible so they can strike up a good understanding before the start of the season.  Stuart was supposedly brought in to provide ammo for the big man after all....
