Football Manager 2012

I've started a game of this now. First management game I've played for years so it's taking a bit of working out. Also, as my pc is woefully short of RAM, I could only choose the EPL, Championship, Lg 1 and Lg 2 in England, plus the top two divisions in Spain and Italy without slowing it to a crawl 

I started unemployed and took my chances. After a couple of offers from League 2 teams in financial turmoil, I eventually plumped for Modena is Serie B. Don't know any of their players or staff so I'm having to study their stats carefully. Terminated the contracts of the Assistant Manager and Goalkeeper Coach (mutual consent), promoted my best scout to Assistant Manager on half the wages of the first bloke but with better stats and hired a new GK Coach.
I've transfered the majority of my budget to wages (most of my transfer budget had been blown by the time I took over anyway) so I can go for a few loan signings.

Started on the brink of the relegation zone and drew my first match with first 3rd placed team. Of course the press spun it as 6 games without a win, even though I was only in charge for one but I'm happy with the lads! 

Still addicted 9 months later.

In season 2025-2026 with the reds. Gerrard as my assistant and they named the stadium Beswick Park(after there greatest manager).

I did it, avoided relegation! I was just outside the relegation zone so had to go into a two-legged play-out against Bari and won both legs 

Brought Andrew Cole in as Attacking Coach a few (virtual) weeks ago and it's starting to pay off.
(I saw him crossing the road in Alderley Edge last weekend, by the way).

Look forward to making the team my own next season   

Amused me that in the game, Liverpool sacked Kenny, Swansea sacked Rodgers and Liverpool went for Benitez 

Started a new liverpool game last week.  Somehow won the league in the first season, signed kadlec, jali, schieber.  Comes end of season, sell downing for about 11m.  Fans didn't like it since he was a fan favorite.  Ffs he wasn't going to get any better, and 3 of the 4 wingers I bring in the fans believe where great moves.  Got adam johnson, weiss, gaitan, who the fans all love. The other guy had played 2 games, just got him back and fractured his arm.  But I'm sure diago costa will won the fans over too, question is are the fans too stupid to see what you are doing by improving the team all round?

How often? If ever, do you find yourself in 1st place in the prem at December, an you're newly promoted?

Got sacked by Modena even though I kept them up with the budget already spent by the previous manager. cu*ts. 

I'm now Manager of Torquay United and my win percentage in approaching 70% after 16 games. Modena will regret their decision! 

You ll get lot of quality players from man city on cheap. Adam johnson and kolarov will be available less than 4m after 1st season.
Look for Bartra,martin monteya,muniessa from barca, as they will not extend their contracts due to lack of first team action.All quality players though.

One of the best(from City), which i'll be looking to aquire is Weiss. Spurs just bought Tevez on my game for £11mil.

Then i have Suso, Joe Allen Rafael (GK), Flanagan on the reserves and a F**k load of amazing regens. One 16 year old i picked up for free who is better than Martinez already and my regen CB is as good as Dede.

Didn't realize the genk deal was over, need to find a new team to loan players to for work permit issues.  Got a couple regens lined up.  Only have 5m left to spend.

I love Erick Torres. Buy him in every save.

Torres is now on 19 goals in 18 games. I've just offered Hervin Ongenda a contract too. Torres, Ongenda, Fierro, Wickham an sesia( could be better than all of the above) that's what i want for my forwards. No experience but potential greatness.

Was typing a response saying how good Torres is and he just scored to put me 1-0 up vs Spurs. Quality player.

And yeah i linked up with Rayo in the Spanish second division to send some lads on loan to. Got plenty of talent and not all are able to get enough games in at the top level plus Spanish sides play more attacking so my players will have more chances there.

These injuries are smacking me apart!

Have a good amount of my Belgium talent in now. Mertens, Mirallas, Witsel... all helping us get through a group of death in the CL. AC Milan and Real Madrid's group.

I've just moved to Southampton. I doubt I'll do anywhere near as well as you (I'm a bit of an amateur) but I look forward to having SOME transfer budget, not like at Modena and Torquay where the previous managers had spent it all!
