A F***ing joke expect a lot of long ball today, we have zero pace up front

Good team but a 4-2-3-1 would have worked better. I also think we might bring Suarez on in the 60+ minutes against a tired Arsenal maybe.

We have one game a week and Suarez is rested.  Can't for the life of me work that out. Henderson again on the right??  He's a duck out of water in that position.  Not impressed.  Zero pace in attack

Suarez should've been on the bench vs Sunderland  and starting vs Arsenal tbh.

It does seem odd, but then again Luis was a doubt for the first 2 games of the season after the copa america...no point him over doing it i guess, we dont want him to miss six or 7 games just to play today

Just did a really detailed post about potential formations and the thread was locked...

Nevermind.

Could be 442, or potentially 451, with Kuyt up against their LB and Carroll up top on his bill.

I'd have 3 man centre-mid (Hendo   Lucas  Adam) with Enrique bombing forward with Lucas and Agger covering his ass, and Downing attacking their LB with Kuyt and Carroll up front.

Looks like a 4-5-1 to me... which will flood the midfield and prevent them playing their football. Their at home so i can see the logic.

At least downing can whip some balls in for Carroll but that seems like the only tactic we'll have with this team.

Bring on the pistolero at half time to show them what quality is!
