      Statistics for the 2012/2013 season
      Aug 19, 2012 10:54:47 am
There have been a number of stats threads throughout the years on the board, I figured a new thread would be useful to collate the stats that usually get lost in the match day threads.

Please post any stats relevant to this season only. Positive or negative are both useful. It might be helpful to make your posts in a way that would make sense in a few years to look back on (i.e. when talking about matches, note the team and the scoreline).

      I'll start:

Stat: Liverpool had a pass completion at 89% vs WBA in our first game of the season (WBA 3 - 0 LIV). That's the best we've had since the EPLIndex started monitoring pass completion (4 years).

Analysis: Surely a testament to a change in style with the arrival of Brendan, we didn't get the result, but it's the kind of improvement  I hoped i'd see with his arrival.

Stat: Joe Allen had most passes, most attacking third passes, best completion percentage (95.65%), most tackles, most interceptions in the WBA 3 - 0 LIV match.

Analysis: Can't ask much more from the lad, excellent performance.

With a performance like that, he must look around and wonder if he's come to the right club F.F.S.

Only 9% of those passes were backwards too.

2 shots on target is an absolute disgrace for our team.

Ball rentention is great, but we need a goalscorer desperately.

Late to the party, but just noticed the Guardian chalkboards are no more.  Is there any alternative out there?
