They were talking about a former England striker which they wouldn't name but they showed a silhouette which I'm assuming was supposed to off that player. Did look a bit like 'God'   :f_whistle:

Did they test the sideline and find out it was actually coke? :D

Why is the FA testing for cocaine anyway? As far as I'm aware it is not a performance enhancing drug, most likely it will impair training and performance.

You'd think it would be the clubs testing for it, as they're paying these players huge wages and wouldn't want them taking anything that would hinder their performances. Then again, maybe clubs are testing for it, I don't suppose they'd say.

      That would make sense.

Unless some of the clubs are scared of their own players and got the FA involved...?

Gary O'Connor, are Channel 4 for real, it was public knowledge that him and Ian Black of Hearts had been arrested for having cocaine so it's hardly investigate journalism at it's best !

It would undeniably impair training but paradoxically it could possibly enhance performance - if you can glean some logic from that statement.

That is ludicrous.  Such a poor excuse.

I thought about it this morning and it came to me that they might want to preserve the image of the sport, or something like that (though if that were the case, they should also be conducting STI tests...).

      Why STI tests?

They do blood tests during the medicals, that's how half of Liverpool found out Pennant had an STI when he joined us from Birmingham.
