I love music/gigging and fishing mostly for Pike although I also course fish. Sadly due to many broken knuckles and having fingers like mars bars I can't play the guitar (I have tried) but I live vicariously through my son - I bought him his first electric when he was 11 he's now going on 18 and is sh*t hot.

Always wanted to go fishing with my old man, he wasn't around, moved to the states when i was very young, he took me once when i went over to visit, on a boat was pretty cool 'til i had to carry the flounder home, stank of fish for days :\

Would love to get into it properly, BBB, will you be my adoptive dad?

I'm still in my twenties so I think I'm young enough that it wouldn't be weird :D

I never watched much of Rugby League (being from Brazil, it's hard enough to watch Union), but my team is the Wigan Warriors.

I have this insatiable need of picking a team in every sport.

you should have picked a decent team mate like the super saints (st.helens rlfc) not those pie eating barstewards.
as for the wire fan, he s livingin fantasy land if he thinks hes going to  see the wires win the GF

      ever.

      come on you saints.

Rugby League man myself. Being from Warrington I'm a massive Warrington Wolves Wire fan.

Was a season ticket holder up until 18 (2 seasons ago I stopped going because of Uni.) While I was a seasont ticket holder (it costs £60 for under 18s, for 27 games that is very good value, and puts football to shame.) we won f**k all!

Since I stopped, we have won 2 challeenge cups and the League leaders shield - though I did see us lift all 3 ;D!

Now we are in the semi final of the Super League and if we win that we will be in our first Super League grand final ever.

Love being a wire at the moment.

saints will  do  you in the GF mate.
      come on you saints.

Good luck today, TKID, hope it goes well, I know it's something you're passionate about.

      Thank you very much :)

I am shattered, ran 4.5km to the hall, then Sensei ran us into the ground, 130 push ups, 100 squat thrusts, 100 sit ups.  Then he graded our karate.  ;D Passed though :) First kyu.  Black-belt next year, which will be a formality apparently!

Once got 50 singles cds for £5 from a shop in manchester.  Most were sh*t, but a couple of good ones in there, made it worth my while.

Have my 1st kyu grading tomorrow, brown 2-stripe belt, one before black belt in karate.  Been doing it two years, three months.  Would recommend it to anyone.

I'm looking for some martial arts mate, something decent that I would be able to defend myself you know, Karate looks good but I have a mate who is doing Krav Maga and he told me its awesome

Maybe I'll go for mixed martial arts :P

Anyways, hobbies outside football would be online gaming, Gym and getting wasted

Back in the '80's when I was seriously trying to boost my record collection I once paid £50 for 500 7"singles from a record store in London, delivered !
There was about a third of them that had actually made the charts the rest were sh*te, I remember getting 3 copies of a tribute song to the boxer John H.Stracey in 1976 and being the sad b***ard I am i still have a copy of it !

Krav Maga is very, very effective for self-defence, however, it is all martial, no art ;D I would recommend it for defending yourself from attack, if that is all you want (definitely good for women).  It teaches you to immobilise an attacker - and the aggression needed to do this.

However, for a deeper more meaningful and rounded martial art, karate is brilliant, teaches you discipline, character, respect, composure, balance, strength.
