Been complaining about the refs since he’s gone up north..

      Needs to let that go.

To anyone not of a Rangers persuasion it’s palpable ludicrous.

Moreover, and some of you may recall I warned about the risk of this, he’s falling into the trap of listening to those with their own sectarian agendas and fuelling the moronic element unintentionally.

That was clearly a foul before Celtic scored he took his leg from underhim. Celtic shouldn't have needed the help of the Ref they missed so many guilt edged chances and Rangers could have easily nicked a point late on. Overall standard wasn't great though was it.

      Brodge 1:0 Stevie G

Although to be fair Celtic battered Rangers and it was just bad luck they didn't score half a dozen, not surprising when you look at the comparative squads.

Currently getting beat by Villareal in the Europa after a very good goal by Carlos Bacca after 47 seconds.

Are we making this the defacto Scottish Premiership thread as well?

Rangers winning 5-1 against St Johnstone (a plucky side in recent years thanks to Tommy Wright's effective management there) on the same day Celtic have lost to Steve Clarke's Kilmarnock 2-1 (going down to a last gasp winner against the Ayrshire men). After the draw to Villarreal three days ago, it's been an excellent week for Stevie.

Celtic are, shockingly, mid table. All very well rousing your troops against Rangers a couple of weeks back (and a thoroughly deserved and dominant win it was) but if you can't summon the same fight and spirit in your other matches then there's something seriously wrong in terms of attitude at that club. Storm clouds ahead for Brendan?

Hearts still 5 points clear despite yesterday's 0-0 draw to Livingston. It may not prevail, but these opening couple of months in the Scottish Premiership have been wonderfully competitive. As good a standard of coaching/management throughout the league as I've seen it in a while. For sure, the quality may be sneered at but in the absence of this, a parochial/embedded community spirit and rivalry really shines through the Scottish leagues. The same goes for the lower leagues in England and it's British football's greatest strength.

Another good day for Stevie in Scotland not so for Brendan and Celtic the wheels seem to have come off and just cant score.

Seems to get going well for Stevie, I keep intending to watch them but making time for the SPL is still a struggle for me :D

Saying that it’s the first time since around 03/04 I’ve even paid attention to the SPL and that’s entirely because of Stevie.

If him and Brendan get a competitive rivalry going it will be great for the league.

2011. A few months before they went bust. I personally wouldn't count those titles won around that time given their financial impropriety and they should have had them stripped by the authorities who despite them  throwing Rangers to the bottom of the Scottish football league, were very kind on them.

just watching the Rangers match. Whatever happened to John Flanagan he is just awful and they just conceded an wn goal that would have been right at home in an under 12 games. He has got his work cut out with this lot.Going forward not too bad though

Truth is he was always limited despite working so hard. Would never shirk from a tackle but tactically and defensively he is all over the place.

Great win for Stevie's boys today 7-1 just 2 point behind topside Celtic he seems to be getting them really firing now despite from what I have seen them being rather average
