Think it's been confirmed as a broken neck now.

18 year old on loan at Accrington Stanley. Broken neck is horrific in any walk of life. Never mind pro footy.

30 mins being treated on the pitch, left for hospital on a drip all players very upset, clashed with Accrington's goalie and Tranmere's forward, latest says in a critical condition, thoughts with him and his family, a tragedy.

Just seen this on the news. Sounds like it could be a nasty one but, they said he is regaining conciousness. Best of luck to him and hope he makes a full recovery.

Just seen on Twitter that he is awake and talking. The early scans show no broken bones but still precaution needed.

Fingers crossed it's just bad concussion.
