Merchandise Machine - Liverpool Football Club.

Quite often now we get told that we have a new revenue stream or source of income be it the lucrative Standard Chartered deal or the security of the Stanley tools deal and the fact that our pitch will always be level.

So I thought it'd be an idea to have one thread to access all the many deals that Ian Ayre has already done and no doubt will be taking advantage of over the coming years whilst he strives to make us a top market feeder in merchandise.

Whether your a lover or a loather of merchandise we have a massive fan base and have been totally mismanaged regarding it as an income stream and in my opinion Ian Ayres appointment was a very shrewd move by JWH & Co.

Ian Ayre clearly has a lot of marketing nous.

Probably the only thing that Hicks and Gillett did right was getting him in.

You can see these cafe's expanding outside the UK eventually.  It's a good idea.  As long as it's reasonably priced and offers good service, then it should be welcomed.  They will need to maintain high standards though because Liverpool are branding themselves now beyond a football club.

Hope it all works out and they bring some American style customer service in to these places.

Do these boot room cafes have the authentic stench of sock sweat, laced with a lingering odour of Deep Heat?

Eric and I had lunch in the Boot Room cafe after our tour of Anfield the other week, I have to say it was really lovely, service was good and the food was excellent.

We'll be building a new LFC theme park in Southport called The Boys Pen, next. Ten spot each to get in.

      You heard it here first.
