Cas, Kenny and co did us proud today. 90 minutes full of passionate singing, never went quiet. Even after they scored. Gave our team the boost needed to win .

4-3 now.

Final score too, so hopefully we get them at home.

I think it was about 10 degrees Celsius so for the sake of your mindless predictable argumentative slant on the evenings proceedings - no.

I have already given my opinion on the match.

Very important win, not only because we have progressed in the League Cup, but also because the tough wins like this one build the character of the team. Still a long way to go, but I am delighted with the result and our attitude tonight.

I thought Spearing had a decent game. Misplaced a few passes(one or two in dangerous places ) but got in a lot of hard work and some good tackles.

Is there a bigger..... back on topic, very good 2nd half performance from the boys which built on a pretty good first half. Unfortunately Coates made a mistake although he recovered very well. Maybe a bit fortunate with their disallowed goal. Some excellent link up play, with Maxi more than playing his part in that. Luisito, what a player and what a pain in the arse he must be for a defender. Both his feet and his mouth doing the talking. The Kopites played a blinder too. Very pleased with that.

Great result by the Reds tonight highlighted by a bit of Suarez magic we were all over them in the first half and could have been up 2-3 goals at the break. I F***ing hate Stoke, the football they play, their fans and their deliberately shortened stadium to accommodate Delap.

Absolutely loved how Suarez responded to their boo's with that first goal it was fantastic. I think everybody played well Agger was superb down the left the entire game and Skrtel's introduction made a massive difference as we looked more secure at the back. Coates had a fantastic game too barring that one game and that was just inexperience with playing against football thugs he will learn from that.

Bring on the quarters at Anfield I hope.

Suarez's first goal was amazing! Enjoyed every moment of that goal as well as his second...sooo didn't want them going in to overtime. I love how he just knows where to place himself in most matches. Without his saving goals we wouldn't even be where we are and for that I thank him greatly.

Martin Kelly was awesome as well. He always is. Always should start. For me there is two men of the match.

Good cross by the way from Henderson for our second.

It was a great assist that.  Needs to be mentioned because he's one lad who's took a bit of stick, sometimes even from myself.

Good shout was giving him some stick watching the game as he was very wasteful in possession.

But credit where credit is due he picked out Suarez brilliantly.

Also, Danny Agger. He was phenomenal.

And a credit to our midfielders. They were immense. Lucas set up the first goal and Hendo the second, on top of all three's efforts nullifying Stoke's play.

We seemed to play well judging by the highlights and Luis goal was a gem.

Pretty good cup tie by the looks of it and great to be in the Quarter Finals.
