There arent many valleys on Merseyside where I live. xxxxx:action-smiley-065:
"easiest game of the whole season".
Hope our lot have read that and Brendan sticks it up in the dressing room
      Yo.
Im just being a WUM mate. Chillax. ;D

      Is that Old Swan then?

I didn't say in my thread it was the easiest game of the season.

Have respect for every other team in the league .....and youre doing OK.

      All I said was.

      3-0.

      You would differ.

I think many of us have given credit to Swansea for their performances in the league this year, so far. They are actually playing football at least but I think we still expect Liverpool to beat them here as it is our home ground.

Sometimes you do drop points to lesser or shitty sides at home though... It happens

We have done it in our last two home games ....  :)

Let's not underestimate Swansea, from what I can see they are a decent team, playing smooth flowing football. We need to play distruptive football and stop the ball from getting to both their wingers and we would have reduced their threat substantially. I'm not sure how mobile is their defence that we can exploit. We need to keep an eye on that Sinclair guy, if we can keep him quiet, they'll not be a big threat.

I know we won't see this, but I would like to have us try out a 3-4-3:

                        Pepe
              Kelly  Skrtel  Agger
      Johno  Lucas  Spearo  Enrique
           Kuyt    Suarez    Bellamy

Every player in that team can play a pass and move style game, but they also all bring a lot of energy and grit to the team.  There is plenty of pace on the outside, and plenty of skill in our attacking trio.  We could play a very high tempo pressing game, and really take it to the opposition.  This team could seamlessly shift from a 3-4-3, to a 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 5-4-1, or a 5-2-3.

However, I think Dalglish will opt for the same formation and team that he has been going with lately:

                        Pepe
      Johno  Skrtel  Agger  Enrique
                 Lucas   Adam
      Hendo                     Downing
                 Suarez Carrol

Either way, I'm going for a 2-0 win for the Reds!!

Would like to see the 4-3-3 with Hendo in the middle with Lucas and Adam, I do like your idea of Bellers over Downing, but right now I don't want to drop Carroll I want him with Luis and the pair to continue to grow together.

Points taken Gents and I Agree with you all.
If I awant an internet ruck all I have to do is goon one of our sites and either
1Questrion the perception Rodgers is Gandhi reincarnated or
2.Suggest our players  just bpass the ball to death for the sake of it.
We ve come a long way though and its all been very exciting .
Our fan base has unfortunately picked up plastic Manure,Chelsea and Liverpool "supporters" who are with us for the novelty.
I d like to poke their eyes out than have them watch OUR team of which we are very proud whatever league we happen to be in.
We never do it easy ;Its all part of being a Swansea JACK.

Wish I could be there, as my grandad is from Swansea. I guess I'll just root for a 4-0 performance from the Reds instead :)

I agree one hundred percent with those calling for Bellamy, the extra motivation is too much to ignore.

Gonna be there, I can't even believe it. I think it'll be a fun match to watch and agree with everyone that we will have a bit too much for them, Suarez won't want to be dropped there's a chance for goals in this open match. I think Hendo is going to score, I'm feeling it.

      Come on you reds!!
And apart from anything else Bellamy really winds them up as the Swansea lad indicated earlier in the thread.

      Thanks
      I have.
Its hard to put into print pithy ripostes.
However, although we have a little respect many are simply dismissing us as is self evident.
I have nothing but respect for LFC fans and many JACKS have a spot spot for the club that goes back to 1964 when we beat you in the Cup(Moran missed a pen)HE COLLECTED 16 SHILLINGS AND 8 PENCE from the coins chucked his way
Jack ye make sure that when ye play the bitters not to chuck any money at them, that"s all we need now is for kenwright to have a few bob to play around with. :)

I don't expect this to be a cake-walk. I remember watching them against Citeh and although they ended up getting hammered, they played very well for most of the game and only conceded due to a goalkeeper error. After that they rolled over.
Fortunately though, I think Kenny has managed to abolish that mentality where the lads went out expecting to win matches. We certainly should be able to win this and if we get a goal or two early on, then Swansea could crumble.

I really wish Bellamy would start. He has played well whenever he's on the pitch.

I fully expect us to be too much of a match for them at Anfield. Even though like to knock it about a bit. I think our mentality will see us through.

Let's see if Eric is as much of a lucky omen as I was vs Birmingham! ;D

      I'd pick this team:

Reina; Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique; Lucas, Adam, Henderson; Suarez, Bellamy, Carroll.

That'll do me Diego hands down  :gt-happyup: and I'd be made up if Kenny picked that team too  :)

I am travelling up on Saturday for my first game of the season. I usually go in the Albert for a few pints before hand but was wondering if I should drop into the Sandon this time. Which has better pre match atmosphere?

Its always pretty packed in the Sandon, but the atmosphere's good or the Arkles is ok too.

Me too, was thinking if trying to get get Kelly in the mix as well but that involves dropping Skittles and I do believe him and Agger were very good the other day. Having said that at some point I reckon it would be good to see Johnson, Kelly, Agger, Enrique line up the back or have Kells at RB and Johnson up the wing.

We play in the English League and have done for many many years.
Its why we are playing you.
You dont play the Celtic /Rangers because they play  oh  it dont matter.
WE ve heard it before but not from scousers who are more aware than those down south.
A lot of Liverpool was built by Welsh builders and there are still strong links between Liverpool and WALES .
Think scousers are still subject to stereotyping and when anything good comes of of LIVERPOOL its ignored as it is by GRANADA AND BBC NORTH WEST.
