If Spearing plays we'll win.
...And if he doesn't play what will happen?
It's true there are no easy games and we have drawn three at home. I have a theory as to why, bear with me.
Each and every time we've drawn games (Sunderland, Man U & Norwich) we've dominated the first half. Second half, in those games, our opponents have put extra bodies in midfield, gained encouragement (from additional possession) and come back to 'mug' us - we never countered that move. Why would we, we were still creating chances, after all?
So whilst 'complacent' might be to strong a word I still believe we rested on our laurels a bit, had 'more of the same' ringing in our ears and either didn't react at all or didn't react soon enough. Sometimes 'more of the same' just doesn't work.
I fully expect that well dominate from the off, most likely going 4-4-2. It goes without saying that we have to make any early dominance pay and if we do, Swansea may fold. If we don't, and Swansea 'flood' the middle, we need to counter and counter quickly (in my humble opinion).
So, joking aside, I reckon we may see Jay either start or play an important role at some point.
Yet again I feel we should have nothing to fear and are better in every department so I fancy us strongly. C'mon the Redmen!
