I can remember these cu*ts paying £16million for Michael Owen and he only made 71 appearances in 4 years, and left on a free too. I can guarantee Andy Carroll will play more than 71 games, and if he does leave we will recoup quite a bit of the original fee we stumped up.
It's a pity you weren't next to the pr**k in the alehouse.

      ... and of course...

Another thread in these esteemed forums regarding Mike Ashley's company Sports Direct  ( the new Toon Sponsor)
selling Scum shirts the year before last with derogatory Hillsborough comments on them.

      Didn't he know about them?

Has the same memory problem as Murdoch it seems.

The arl arses who give Andy loads probably blame Rafa, he  bought Torres in the first place which in turn gave us a £30m profit with which to buy the lad, not forgetting the other half of the deal of course but they're having a go at him aren't they??

The price tag was big for Andy Carroll ,we all recognise that ,but to come out with this sort of crap is unecessay and vile, in real terms we got two players for the sale of one so all we pay for is an extra wage bill ! there are plenty of big money transfers that haven't worked for one reason or another ,you pays your money you take your chance !..... Owen Hargreaves springs to mind,

We wanted to pay in 4 parts, which sounds decent to be honest, but paid upfront :o

Still, who is he to say what a player is worth? Andy will prove his worth to the team over the next 5 years.

Don't think I will be worrying too much what some clueless director at Newcastle thinks. Kenny must think he will be worth his place in the squad and will do a good job for Liverpool and that's good enough for me.

What's strange? The misguided souls who criticise Carroll at this stage of the game are quite obviously bereft of judgement and credibility, to illustrate the point I brought another victim of the blame game to the fore in the form of Rafa, who was a victim of the same madness.
If you read the comment in full all is explained.

Torres isnt the same lad as 3 years ago for whatever reason so £50 mil cash and we got Carrol and Suarez  was a great bit of business.
I have been watching Liverpool for decades and mark my words in 2 or 3 years time Andy Carrol will be unplayable. Lads his size never get their real strength until 24 or 25 years of age.

They'd sell their own Grannies, they're a shame to NUFC and football, quicker they're gone the better for everyone. To insult legends of your own club in this fashion is a disgrace, less I hear of these scum the better.

People also seem to not put Suarez into the mix when they talk about the Torres transfer, if people were to offer me Carroll and Suarez in exchange for Torres +£8m I'd take it today still so it wasn't a bad deal.

Newcastles run over Christmas is not very good at all, I predict they will start to fall down the ladder.

When people say Carroll will be unplayable what exactly do they mean.  People know my thoughts on Carroll i think he will be an expensive mistake but an md of a club coming out and saying that shows a lack of class

Was going to post something similar saint. Entirely agree.

Who gives a sh*t what he thinks. It's not as if they forced us to buy the player and Kenny obviously wanted him and we paid what it took to get him.

Some people really need to get over the price tag and I can't believe it's still being talked about when we all know the circumstances surrounding the transfer.

Agreed, one of the first things that came to mind for me aswell. Divert the attention away from the stadium naming rights story.
