The Newsroom finished its first series the other week and I loved every minute of it. Another great show from Aaron Sorkin.

      Highly recommended.

To fill that void I'm watching Mad Men from the beginning and just finishing the second series of Boardwalk Empire, just in time for the third at the weekend.

Haha, I like the look of Brickleberry, will have to watch it soon!

I'm planing to watch "Last Resort" as well, Ingo told me the pilot seemed great, and it's from the same creator of The Shield, one of my all-time favorite series.

I'm loving this at the minute. Started a few weeks ago on BBC4.

A New York gangster goes into hiding after testifying and chooses Lilyhammer as his destination.

Steven Van Zandt from E Street Band/Sopranos is the lead.

      Lilyhammer Trailer

      Anyone else been watching?

Found it online, just finished watching the whole series, cracking show. There's going to be a second series as well once Steven Van Zandt finishes touring with The Boss!

Already got too much to watch at the moment with Boardwalk Empire, which imo is a vastly superior show and The Walking Dead will be starting back up again soon, plus I'm kinda liking that Blue Bloods as well.

Genuinely in shock at what happened on Sons of Anarchy last night.

      Wow.
Oh sh*t I know... I loved that character.

Sons is easily one of the best drama's on right now. A mix of Sopranos w/ Hells Angels. Whats better than that.  Fantastic writing, great plots, awesome bad guys and great good guys.  One of my favs. I watched since the first episode. I used to like Trigger but his F**k up really screwed the MC and one of the best characters. .....( Little Spoiler) So, dont read if your not watching this season. But,I cant wait too see them give it to that asshole prison guard. Payback will be very painful for that Mother f**ker!!!! >:D

Only a couple of episodes in of this season and already it's hotting up, Jimmy Smits looking almost bad ass and smashing Clay's missus everywhere and the shot of the Pope buying the kids ice-creams after what he did, one F***ing excellent show, although saying that the creators of the show also made The Shield which was a boss programme also.

      Shame about Opie though!!

The books are about 500x better than the show. Still a great show.

Oh, and if you're going to SPOIL something, please note it at the beginning of your post (looking at you two bas**rds with Sons of Anarchy :P ).

I'm a big fan of the Game of Thrones books too but don't like the TV show half as much as I thought I would.  Agree with HR that Boardwalk Empire is a superior show, and season 3 has got off to a great start.

Watched the pilot episode for Last Resort yesterday...by far the best of the new American shows and probably the best pilot I've seen since Lost.  Gonna whack on the second episode later tonight.  Don't really know how realistic it is but it sure makes for great entertainment, kinda reminded me of the better bits of 24.

Yeah. He was awesome. The way they did it was just hardcore though.  But I did love when Jax was walking out w/ that guard and he told him. "No matter where you go, what you do I AM GOING TO KILL YOU".

Now I may be wrong about the last episode, but that transvestite hooker was "Boyd Crowder" from Justified, with huge breasts!!!

Brickleberry is actually pretty funny. Definitely trying to 'go the extra mile' kind of show.

...And its back!!! The Walking Dead!

Downloading the first episode of Season 3 now! Cant wait!

Also been watching Boardwalk Empire Season 3, downloading episode 5 now.... I just dont think its the same without Jimmy, the only character I truly like now is Richard Harrow but it doesn't show him nearly enough..

Walking dead starts this Friday Si... (19th)

Just started with the new series of Boardwalk, quality.. I was shocked when they killed Jimmy but it made sense to freshen up the cast and keep you wanting to know how it twists from here... Nucky was always the key, had he let Jimmy live he would look soft..

I like this new New York Italian.... Proper loose cannon

The first episode of the new Walking Dead was by far the best episode since the pilot.  That was more along the lines of my vision for the zombie apocalypse....great start to the season.

I started watching Sons of Anarchy from the start last week, to see what all the fuss was about.  Can't believe I waited so long to watch it but I love it!!  On season 4 at the minute which is shaping up to be the best one yet.  Have to say though, season 3 was the worst portrayal of Ireland, the Irish people, the Irish accent and Northern Irish politics I have ever seen.  It was hilariously bad! You are never going to get away with filming scenes supposed to be set in Ireland, in California. :D

It does make sense with Nucky and Jimmy just a shame as I liked the character. Agree on Gyp though he seems to be a proper nutter and as someone said it's good to see Richard Harrow having a more prominent role as I also like his character.

Anyone been watching Last Resort?  I'm two episodes in and it's fast moving quality tv.  Looks to have a decent budget too.
