      Not really

RVP 29, 2 years left on his contract, wanting to move on as he would not renew his contract, move made in the middle of the transfer season. Dutch and no pony tail.

AC 22 when bought Jan 2011, still had 4.5 years on his contract left after signing a 5 year deal in Oct 2011, did not want to move clubs, deal made with a few hours left in the winter window. English, pony tail established.

RvP, 132 goals and 62 assists in England...
AC, 19 games in the EPL...

      ;D

I think they're stronger this season than last, even without Van Persie.

Agreed! Arsenal will probably start badly, it will be said to be the end of Wenger, then they'll get strong again and have a decent season.

This guy on BBC summed it up pretty well..

"£24m for a 29 year old, injury prone player with only one successful season since 2006 and only one year left on his contract! I think Fergie's lost it."

Injury prone = 63 consecutive prem games since Nov 2010 ?

Out of 8 seasons two have been disrupted by injury

09/10 where he played 19 games and scored 10 goals and 07/08 when he played 23 games and scored 10

Don't get what your saying, still not fascinating,

If you're going on goals scored, it still does not equate to fascinating.

The money spent on the two players were/are depended on the situations at the time.

Not concerned at all about him going to the Mancs one bit, both him and Rooney want everything to revolve around them and can see them two not working well together at all.

RVP and Rooney between them scored 15 more goals than we did as a team ! I would be very concerned.

Absolutely, every transfer depend on factors such as age and time left on contract. The key one is quality though, and that's where we were screwed while Man Utd have probably made a very good signing...

Definitely, then if one of them gets dropped I can see them sulking and starting to moan about it. Van Persie, if things aren't going his way then he does sulk, same with Shrek.

      Where they ?

Well they won the CL and FA Cup so that's not bad is it

RvP to the scum is scarey signing. RvP almost single handedly got them into 3rd - without his goals they would have been in 16th ?!?
