      Agree with this corbally.

Johnson is a much better all round player than Richards.

I thought we got even better as the game went on and great to see.

Yeh he was top today...came out the box couple of times to deny them and made an amazing sliding tackle on silva at one point..

Point not a bad result, but thought we deserved to shade it in the end. We were pushing and if there were 5 or 10 more mins, we would've broken them down, the gits.
Some stand out performers. Lucas and Adam in the middle, surely between them for MOTM. After all the sh*te Adam took recently, he puts in two great games against City and Chelsea. Fair play to the lad. And Lucas was excellent, put in so many tackles, and he's cut out the giving away of silly frees.
Enrique as well was really strong and Suarez had a better game up top.
But Henderson, though tidy, was anonymous and jayzus if I see Downing blaze another decent chance over the bar I'll F***ing explode. Someone has to teach that lad how to get over a ball. Thought Downing contributed more than Hendo though, but both need to do better.
Why the feck KK did wait for so long to make a change ... I don't understand it. And was Andy the only sub? In a game like that were we should really push it in last 10 mins, to bring only 1 guy on, I mean were is the use of the squad? Thought Maxi at least deserved a run, he at least knows how to score.
Still, another strong performance. 4 points from last 2 games is pretty decent, considering the opposition. The defense is starting to look well balanced. And we're making chances. Just need to get more out of some of the lads.
And hope we don't go back into our shells now against the 'lesser' teams, we need to keep up the performance levels every week, not just keep it in the tank for the big boys. Still have this feeling that we have the potential to do better, and we need to find that extra 10% if we're gonna break back into the top4.
If you guage match enjoyment from that amount of time spent shouting at the TV, then I really enjoyed that one :)

You know the reaction he would get Diego, was just looking at Aggers stats for the match f**k me, tackles won 100%, headers won 100%, on the ground duels 100%. Please Daniel stay fit.

I see people say it sometimes JD and I tend to agree with it now Lucas would suit Barc more than Mascherano

I think if Bellers played instead of Henderson we'd probably have won that.

Tense game though. I can't remember the last time we played at home and we never sang 'You'll Never Walk Alone' at the end.

We're still one or two players short of winning the title, but on that performance, we'll get 4th.

Really pleased with how we kept Aguero and Silva quiet.

      Not much to say.

City field players desserved to lose after their very bad second half but Hart saved them.

Liverpool was rather good but nothing exceptionnal. A few worrying errors in defence, a few but not enough good attacks...

Gave motm to Downing (not that he really desserved it but found he really improved compared to the last games he played).
      Found the "DOWNING" voter!! :f_tongueincheek:
What a game that was.It had the lot.Except one thing?Stevie G.He would have f*****n loved that battle.Lucas!Again, what can yer say?Confident/Masterful.Fully deserved his motm award.Other standout performances? Can't be arsed writing all the players names down.Every one of them deserve a pat on the back.
Kudos to the England keeper too.Brilliant saves, earning them their point.
Looking forward to Tuesday with bated breath.  xxxxx:action-smiley-065:

Noticed a real improvement in Lucas' forward passing aswell.

For me that was his best ever performance in a Liverpool shirt. Absolutely faultless.

Something wrong with that. Not the stat but with the bars ;D!

Anyway, we proved that we are not scared of anybody even City! We started a bit too slow and letting them creeping into the game but as the game progressed, we totally dominated them. We were attacking from every single angle and luck really saved those b***dy Manc Blues**te from their first loss this season. Apart from Silva that we just couldn't control, every other player were totally shut out from his passings. Kun Aguero, well I didn't heard his name and at one point just wondering whether he played or not. Scums should learn from us! Eventhough their passings were pinpoint accurate and their movements were a bit better than us, but attacking wise and creating chances, we were by far superior than them. We managed to get in control and what excited me was our ability to put more pressure during the 2nd half.

Lucas for me, that was the game of his life. His game stats proved it all. He's commanding the midfield area. His persistence and patience finally paid off! Adam has finally showed us why Kenny wanted him at the first place. His passings were absolute beauty. Enrique as usual, an absolute monster and Glen was terrific with bombarding forward. Hendo was a bit off for me. Suarez as usual, phenomenal with his workrate, just a bit dissapointed that our midfield sat a bit deep when attacking. Just imagine if they pushed a bit up front. Downing although his working hard but I'd rather have Bellamy in his place.

We deserved to win, but once again Hart was immense (wonder why every goalkeeper became too f**king sensational when at Anfield?). Though Hart got my attention, Reina overperformed him. Two good judgements saved us the blushes.

Mancini on Skysports in the post match interview
reporter> 'What did you say to balotelli on the touch line after the red card?'

mancini >'  I don't remember, nothing, i don't think that foul  on skrtel was a yellow card'

I guess the reds showed  thay match his overpaid 'stars'

happy with the way the redmen played , a little bit gutted , because we could have won it if it was not for an outstanding hart

City scored just one goal for the first time in the Premier League this season
City had only seven shots on goal. Their previous lowest was 14 against Villa and Newcastle

Regarding the match: lovely game by our midfield against a top class line of midfielders. Shame we couldn't do more.

Lucas produced one of the best individual performances I've seen from an LFC midfielder for a while.

The fact we just held (and could of beat) a team that has practically steamrolled all other opposition in the PL this season shows how far we have come under the King. Onwards and upwards.
