The only player that can rival Lucas for man of the match is Hart, kept City in the game

      Agger too, IMO

Thought Agger showed again why he is one of the best centre halves in the Premiership. Himself and Skrtel look an excellant partnership dont look good for Carragher to be honest

One thing that I can't understand is, why KK doesn't make the subs?

Normally I like to see a few changes but as the half was going on we were getting more on top and Kenny probably wanted to keep things as they were.

Absolutely made up with that performance. Thats the bets they've been tested this year and we deserved to win that without doubt. They were put to the sword. I might go as far to say, that performance would have done loads of damage to their confidence and belief, and massive belief in our ability. We were the best team by far and I can't stop saying it. Solid all round, 7 / 10 for Downing and mabey Hendo first half, but the rest 10 / 10 for me. Lucas Imense in midfield, and I doubted he could become the player he is two seasons back. Adam starting to look much better, hope he proves me wrong like Lucas did. Kuytt, never stops as usual, just a bit dissapointed in his final delivery/cross a few times. Other wise, every one of them must be so elated, yet massively dissapointed as we didn't win but were by far better overall. Why can't we do that every week ? Maybe we will now.

Another game we drew that we should have won.

I thought we played really well though, especially second half. Stopped by a goalkeeper on form.

I know Adryan just think in different circumstances those two could have made the difference.

I see Downing got a vote in MOTM.

Strange game that person was watching.

The game had a "Score against your old club" written all over it if he had played!!

Liverpool's defense was almost all about Lucas, same for Hart and City.

Lucas was immense, broke down so many attacks and got many important tackles in.

We really tore apart City, first after our first goal an then for about 15-20 minutes in the end. City didn't touch the ball. The result is not the best but I am so proud of the performance. Created so many chances.

As for Hart, he really saved the day for City, didn't he? He was faultless today.

Lucas was an absolute beast today.

Pepe was either brilliant, though my heart stopped a few times when he came out to tackle City's strikers!

Wish Skrtel's effort had gone in - so close!

Suarez was kicked out of the park - he's suffering what Maradona went through during his time in Napoli - defenders cannot stop him, so they kick him down! He was still superb though!

      Adam - some nifty moves/passes/tackles.

Kuyt was great - he has fantastic control and the ability to turn sharply with good control of the ball and almost got another 1-yard goal - which he specialises in!

Dagger/Skrtel - great defensive pairing - long may this partnership continue.

If only either Carroll's header, or Suarez's rebound shot or even Downing's shot gone in!!

I think I figured out Downing's problem - it's not him, its Enrique. When Enrique goes up, Downing's role becomes redundant, and is left with little to do and there seems to be little synergy there in that side of the pitch and Downing becomes anonymous. There were times I was hoping Enrique would stick to being a defender and let Downing do the winger's work - and not let Micah, Milner take the better of him.

Henderson perhaps needs to spend some time in the reserves and sort himself out while Kuyt/Maxi/Bellamy take on his role. A bit of a headless chicken sometimes - but once he calms down he'll get there.

But overall, a draw, and what a performance by the Reds. We were superb, and not once this season were City taught a lesson like they were today. Proud of the Reds today - great crowd at Anfield too. Pity about Mario's moment of madness - but he is utterly insane - but great for football!

How many times have you seen City bring on an extra defender to shore up their defence this season? Says it all really.

I loved Kenny's gesturing of a drink to Mancini at the end of a game - great sportsmanship, life's more than a game of football, and sometimes, we need to recognise that.

Now let's march on to Stamford Bridge and beat the chavs!

I voted for Enrique, he was boss today, but so was Lucas and pretty much the rest of the squad. I was nervous for this game but looking back we threw away 2 points, but our confidence has to be high right now. Be interesting to see how we play in 2 days time (which is absurd).

City are currently going around trashing Anfield.

Apparently there was some argument and they've damaged the dressing room door.

The one massive positive to take from that game is............... we played for the full 90 minutes, too many times have we lost our way in games this season, today the lads performed from start to finish, that's progress for me, it suggests we are getting there as a unit.

      Agree with this corbally.

Johnson is a much better all round player than Richards.

We still have the best defence in the league - tied with City!

Just wished we'd put our chances to bed more often - as usual but Hart was absolutely faultless today.

What are the chances that Mancini threw a door at Balotelli? ;)

And don't wanna be a fun sucker but we really need to fix our home matches results.

Only two wins in seven games and majority of them against the "weaker" teams.

Hearing it was Balotelli that damaged the dressing room why am I not surprised. He should be arrested on the spot for criminal damage that would sort the plonker out
