No reason why we can't beat Chelski again, the way we played against Man City, players seem to be finding some form and should be up for this one, fingers crossed.

While I want us to win every game/competition we play, I have to say that finishing in the top 4 is a higher priority than the Carling Cup.  I hope we put out a good mix of youth and experience.  I just hope that we rest Lucas, Suarez, Skrtel, Enrique, and Agger because we need them all fresh for next weekend.

5-4-1 in defense, and a 3-4-3 in attack.  I'd like to see Sterling on the bench for this one as well.  I think his pace could cause them some headaches late on if it is an open, end-to-end match as I expect it to be.

Torres definitely likely to start for Chelsea, and almost certainty that Carra will get a game back in the team.

I am sure Kenny will leave the team decision, the players probably not doing much training today and see who fancies it tomorrow.

To be honest we want to progress - the Chavs will play a reserve team with one or two big names and Torres in there. A win is a win - so lets go out there to progress! They will be more about the league and the Champs League and keeping players fresh.

 We go into this match with confidence knowing we beat them last week and the knowledge we can/will beat them again.The spirit in the club at the moment is tremendous so all thanks to Kenny Dalglish for making us into a fighting machine to be feared by all other clubs.

Lucas has played a lot this season, particularly when you consider that he has had to travel half way across the world for a few Brazil games. He should be rested

yea agree with this, rest some players. chavski will field a weakened team too so no point in risking key players for the busy december schedule.
would be good to give young ones like coates, suso, sterling and spearing an outing.

I want us to 'go' for this with maybe only two or three changes and a strong bench just in case. It is an old cliché but success really does breed success. Keep the momentum going.

Being the first team to give City a game we should go into this really positive. Should still play our strongest team.

John Terry is banned for this one gutted wanted us to make him fall on his arse again

Then again Luiz and Alex could well be done by Andy in the air where Terry is quite strong.

Personally I think a bit of youth would be a good idea - they will be hungry and this is a great chance for them to shine before the Jan window - where they could either get a good loan move before next season or show us we are stronger than we thought. I agree that a weak side would be a waste - but between now and the end of the season I can see no other opportunities!

I can't believe how many people are wanting to include the players who started against City in the starting 11 against Chelsea.  48 hours is not enough time for players to fully recover, and playing a 2nd game on the back of such a demanding game as we have just had against City is irresponsible in my opinion.  If we start Suarez and he pulls a hammy and is out for 4-5 weeks, we may be out of the running for CL qualification by January....  I think Suarez, Lucas, and Enrique are the players that we need to be particularly careful with as these are the ones that we do not have sufficient cover for in the squad. 

No idea what the line up will be but who ever plays, if they play as hard as we did against the Chavs last week and against City on sunday then we are in with a great chance.

Eccleston has travelled.

It's only fair to give most of the lads that played yesterday a rest i have full faith in our squad to beat Chelsea.

   

I wish I could guess what the hell Kenny has in store. Definitely think the back four will be Kelly, Carragher, Coates and Aurelio. No clue about the center of the park, but I'm sure Carroll and Bellamy will start as well.

Fancy playing this game when I am going to see Rihanna in concert tomorrow night - how inconsiderate 

I expect to see a fairly strong line up for this game, after all, Kenny's put a strong team out for every match we've played in this tournament so far, even against Exeter, a repeat of that scoreline will do me very nicely indeed , thankyou.

So I don't think this one will be any different, I'm desperate to see Carroll start the game and hope he stays on and gives a brilliant performance, I think some of the fringe players deserve a shot in the team, maybe the likes of Spearing, Aurelio etc, guessing Kenny will play a blend of experience and youth, a good bench will be essential just in case things turn sour.

After the way we played against these in the League the other week and against City on Sunday, I hold no real fears for this game, in saying that, they'll want revenge for the league defeat. So I hope our lads turn on a good display for the travelling Kop who will be there in full force. To those of you going to the game, have a great time, sing your hearts out and enjoy.

Kenny has played a majority strong team for the other matches in this competition so I would imagine he will continue here. Can see Carroll, Carra, Maxi and Spearing all get a start back in the team. The only doubts are Gerrard and Robinson again I'm assuming.

I wanted to go and watch the game in the local Irish Pub, so needed to know if they broadcasted it on sky or ESPN or whatever.  But even so, don't think any Belgian tv-channel is showing the carling cup except for the final.

  On satelite there are about 20 stations around europe showing chelsea/ liverpool game, so I am sure  a STREAM will be available

Yeh Torres's stats read 200 shots 20 on target and 2 goals.  Instead of back passing to Reina should we just pass it to Torres that way we get a goal kick.
