Real Madrid will allow Esteban Granero to leave the Santiago Bernabeu on loan this month, with the midfielder a reported target for Liverpool

Is he worth a loan deal? or he's not good enough, I've seen some videos of his games for Real, he can play as DM,CM and AM. Isn't it? He looked good.

If he's good enough (which I dont know cause haven't seen him play much), maybe a loan till the summer to replace Lucas is not a bad idea?

Much more of an attacking player than Lucas I think, especially if he were to come to the Premiership. Don't think he has the physical attributes to play as a defensive midfielder.

I think a loan is a better option tbh. He's a player who can play in a few positions so it would make sense to bring him in for backup in a number of areas.

We could do a lot, lot worse as far as Central Midfielders go. And he's more attacking than anything.

Yeah, but do we really want/need that?  We could def use some cover for Lucas at the DM position, but we already have Adam, Gerrard, Shelvey, and Hendo as attack minded CM's.  If we are looking to give Adam/Stevie a break, then surely we should be looking to give Shelvey/Hendo the minutes as opposed to using a player who will not be here next season....

"He's finding his chances limited at Real. He's keen for a move away - possibly to Liverpool," Lazaro told the International Business Times. "If he can't play at Madrid then he'll play somewhere else. It's as simple as that." -from his agent. Not sure how significant it is but it's a quote.

The longer it goes on and it's apparent we need a little bit more cute creativity behind the front men the more I'm up for giving this kid a go.. I've seen him play a couple of times and technically he looks good.

My first choice would be Jovetic personally but that may be a pipe dream, but I'd certainly give this kid a go..

Think he's the sort of player that could turn out to either be a revelation or a complete flop, really can't tell with him! Sign him on loan with a view to buy if anything!

There's an idea!  Loan him with a view to buy for around 7M in the summer.  If he works out, then he would basically be a direct replacement for the outbound Aqua.  If not, then we turn our attentions elsewhere....
