Havent seen anything of this kid ! Would he be in our starting 11 ?

The short answer is no.  He is very talented, but very raw.  Has great speed and physical attributes, but he doesn't understand the game well enough (yet) to be a regular player at a top club.  He also needs to refine his 1st touch and the passing side of his game.  That said, his 1st touch and passing may already be better than Carrol's!!  ;D :)

In all honesty though, I think (if we sign him) we would treat him like Shelvey.  Play him sparingly towards the end of matches for the remainder of the season, then look to loan him out to a lower Prem team next season where he can get regular 1st team minutes.

I concur. Excellent player and one who can offer that last ten minute pressure we so lack at times.

Should be a transfer ban on someone who has signed a contract extension within the past year.

Cant help but agree with you. Only, sometimes (probably not that often) clubs get the players to sign extensions so that they can get more money for that player.

Most long contracts like that are simply the club looking to reassure themselves in keeping a bit more value in their "asset" and the play receiving a pay rise is the price.

If you don't view them as a statement of commitment then you can't be too upset.

He can come to us and still play in a cup final or even better, two.
      No. He'd be cup tied.

If someone pays 10m for him I'll laugh at them.

      Even if he's us.

      All pace. Not much else.

He's English, so there's going to be a £10M premium to add on to his actual value.

I was told that numerous scouts have looked at him from the Prem, all reported the same thing, lack of end product. It is likely to be a lower end Prem team that is willing to take a chance on him that will get him.

Sort of hard to compare when you think of how Zaha plays week in week out in the Championship and Sterling plays for our reserves. Personally i don't want us to sign Zaha, we need somebody more developed.
