ANFIELD children revealed their new jigsaw tribute to the 96 Hillsborough victims.
Youngsters from All Saints School took part in a workshop to learn about the Hillsborough disaster before creating the artwork.
They each drew a picture on a jigsaw piece before they were joined together in the final plaque.
The jigsaw is on display in the Anfield Breckside Community Corner, Richmond Park, until next week.
It will then be erected permanently in Bala Street.
The picture in the ECHO isn't that great, but the jigsaw is top quality. It was unveiled today with Phil Neal and Graham Sharpe among others at the event. Then it was meant to be put up today but due to the weather being what it was they decided to bring it down to the ABCC for the time being. It looks boss, took a picture on me phone but you can't make it out so deleted it.
Credit to everyone involved, especially the kids. Apparently the ages are 10-11 year olds. Our little Connor has made one of the 96 jigsaw pieces, but I'm not sure which one yet - will ask him on Saturday when I'm back in the ABCC. Very surprised at how many different messages there are given the kids ages, could easily of just put what they were told to. Also very touching to see how many Everton badges are on the jigsaw just to show that even at that age people can put differences aside at a time like this.
Certainly worth a look for everyone.
