Because Real Madrid not wanting a player, doesn't necessarily say anything about the player's qualities, or lack there of. Players like Robben, Sneijder, Eto'o, Van der Vaart and Cambiasso weren't wanted either.

He would never come here its not glamorous enough. he will stay on the continent somewhere he couldnt handle the pace and he couldnt handle the physicality of our game in my opion. Also it would piss him off not being the best looking player in the team.

Does anyone seriously think that John Henry would contemplate spending 20 big ones on an injured 30 year old? He only ever talks about the long term interests of the club and for that fact alone the deal is dead in the water.
Not foregoing the health and safety issues of having his fit as F**k bird sitting in the stands and the consequential blindness it will cause our hairy handed younger supporters.
