      Fu*cking hell!!

Is there any chance we can enjoy a good win tonight without looking at the next game already?

There isn't a competition for first to start the match thread.

Imagine what a win would do for our ambitions and confidence. Funny our away form means despite who they are we will definitely give them a game. Question how many former clubs of Craig Bellamy do w ehave to play?

The Newcastle win was a good set up for this and with City playing today hopefully that will also help our cause.

Be interesting to see if Stevie starts this after his excellent sub appearance on Friday. Would maybe start with Kuyt on right midfield to help out Johnson and same with Bellers on the left as Man City are such a threat down the wings.

As good as they are going forward, City can be gotten at, so CMON REDMEN!!!!!

                          Pepe

      Johnson Skrtel  Agger Enrique

       Kuyt   Spearing Adam   Bellamy

                  Gerrard

Bad result for City today.  They'll be looking to bounce back in a big way.

Last year there was horrible, we hardly had a kick of the ball.  Be a good result if we took a point of them - probably either our hardest or second hardest game of the season.

They just now lost an amazing game against Sunderland.Cracks are starting to develop and with them having absolutely no time to recover,we have more than a decent chance of winning this.I would like to go with

      Downing  Spearo  Gerrard  Maxi
                  Bellamy  Suarez

I think this is our best lineup at the moment in terms of in-form players and can cause City's shaky defense a lot of problems.

Don't think the two day extra rest will really be a factor in this one. They have a good enough squad to cope. Aguero, Silva, Balotelli and Richards all didn't start today.

City are looking a bit dodgy of late, lost a five point lead and then failed to get a three point lead back with a defeat at Sunderland. Think we can add to their recent troubles.

Reina; Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique; Spearing, Henderson, Gerrard; Maxi, Suarez, Bellamy.

Hope Bellamy is fit enough to start, we could give him the cup weekend off if he can play on Tuesday. If he's struggling then get Kuyt in. If Gerrard isn't ready then I'd play Shelvey.

Confident of at least a point, think we'll win it if the front three cause trouble like they did at Chelsea.

Still think it's too early to start with Gerrard.  We've got 9 games in January.

City away is great for the TV audience but we need Gerrard to help us pick up the points against the Stoke's, Bolton's and Wolves this month - not to mention a cup semi final.

Need to pick our battles wisely.
