The result was everything tonight. I think it will be end to end stuff back at Anfield.

We would have all taken a win away from home in the first leg before the game started, I said to Racer before the game that a draw would be a good result but a win would be an awesome result, so I couldn't be happier.

 This was a classic cup game where we'd done the hard work in the first half, got the goal and although it wasn't pretty in the second half it worked, and that's what it's all about.

I think Kenny and Steve got it spot on tonight.

Half time 1-0 to us, I expect them to play better in the second game but I think overall we'll be to strong for them and will be heading to Wembley come the end of February

Great result, id have bitten their hands off for that pre game.. First half we were the better side, second we kept it tight, im sure people would be fu**ed off had we gone at them for the second and conceded. Id have loved a second goal but again id have snapped your hand off for a lead

Thought Gerrard showed tonight he can play any role in midfield , sat there tonight coaxed the team along and done all he had to ,just enjoying seeing him back on the pitch ,must be great walking into the changing room and seeing his shirt on the hook ,knowing you have someone with you who really does make that much difference.
