He's not a small boy.. Doesn't look like he'll need much "warming in".. sh*t.. Youtube does wonders for players but he deffo has a bit of strength and he looks quite clinical.. Hope there's something in this..

We've had threads on him before, the one on Grobbelaar mentioning a south american striker, was supposedly pointing into Texeira's direction.

He's a box striker, he's not like Suarez, not really dribbling skills. But he seems to be a good finisher. Not ready for our first team though, but I do think he has a bright future.

I agree about his strength, his upperbody especially is pretty big for someone his age.

I've replaced the craptalk link in the OP with the TalkSport link mcarz provided.

He looks to me like a guy that can play really well with a partner the style of Suarez. He is physical enough that it should pull defenses towards him and free up space for Luis but he seems to have enough ability that is more of an all around type player than Andy Carroll.

I see a lot of the newspapers are reporting that Liverpool have signed  Joao Carlos Teixeira. How much truth is in it I don't know but the rumours say we have paid £1 million.

Could have work permit issues from what I understand. Could we buy and then loan back for the rest of the year?

Yeah i heard that, im not sure i take much from it though, dont know how the uruguayan press would have the inside track.

But it seems more than a rumour.

As with any transfer rumour I will take it with a pinch of salt until it is confirmed by the club but I have a lot of respect for Tim Vickery. He has immense knowledge of South American football and no doubt plenty of contacts over there. He's not generally the sort to talk sh*t.

Where's Quico when you need him?

Would be a risk but i,m sure he would settle in quite quickly with Suarez and Coates here already.
