Ian Ayre's strength is marketing and sponsorship which is different to finance.

Had a good night last night as it happens, pub was obviously absolutely bouncing with Chelsea fans. Got me "well done lads, I know what it feels like, I've experienced it five times" line out as often as I could and there was generally some good banter flying around. Not unlike when we last won it, I thought long before it actually happened that it was written in the stars, destiny taking its part (much like Howard Webb does when he refs Man U).

 

Read you were in the Alex in Wimbledon? I live just round the corner at the moment. Nice pub that, just wasn't on watching the game in a place full of Chelsea fans. Stayed in after the game because I'd just get wound up with the scum around here if I went out. All the blue on the streets the next day made me physically ill
