      FA statement:

      Terry hearing result

      Thursday, 27 September, 2012

Independent Regulatory Commission reach conclusion in Terry case.

An Independent Regulatory Commission has today [Thursday 27 September 2012] found a charge of misconduct against John Terry proven and has issued a suspension for a period of four matches and a fine of £220,000, pending appeal.

The Football Association charged Mr Terry on Friday 27 July 2012 with using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards Queens Park Rangers’ Anton Ferdinand and which included a reference to colour and/or race contrary to FA Rule E3[2] in relation to the Queens Park Rangers FC versus Chelsea FC fixture at Loftus Road on 23 October 2011.

The charge was the result of The FA’s long-standing investigation into this matter, which was placed on hold at the request of the Crown Prosecution Service and Mr Terry’s representatives pending the outcome of the criminal trial.

A hearing took place from 24-27 September 2012 before an Independent Regulatory Commission of The FA to consider the charge.

The decision of the Independent Regulatory Commission is as follows:

Mr Terry be suspended from all domestic club football until such time as Chelsea’s First Team have completed four competitive matches
      Fined the sum of £220,000
The Independent Regulatory Commission will provide written reasons for its decision in due course. Mr Terry has the right to appeal the decision of the Independent Regulatory Commission to an Appeal Board. An appeal must be lodged within 14 days from receipt of the written reasons for the decision.

The penalty is suspended until after the outcome of any appeal, or the time for appealing expires, or should Mr Terry decide not to appeal. The reason for this is to ensure that the penalty does not take effect before any appeal so that Mr Terry has an effective right of appeal.

No - I bet anyone here £2.74 that not one paper lables him a racist, in fact I double that bet that at least 1 paper calls for the FA to review this ban!

Totally expected, the FA are even more arrogant and stupid in believing that this will be the end of this saga.

Didn't Suarez get extra games because it was Alledged he repeated the "racist abuse" numerous times ?

The FA banned another player last season for 4 games for racist abuse ?

As I just said - the FA gave Suarez extra games because the Alledged abuse was repeated to Evra.

That's right. Suarez said the word "negro" 10 times. I mean 5. Or maybe it was 7.

I think it was think of a number time and go with the highest.

But that was the justification they used - bevause he called him Negrito numerous times.

Bullshit, the FA gave him such a long ban because of who he is and who he plays for and who was putting in the complaint. They cant justify that being the reason when there isn't a single shroud of evidence or a single witness proving he said this, just the word of a player who has made false accusations in the past and been filmed shouting racist terms from a balcony! Yet John F***ing Terry is caught being pretty much as racist as it can possibly get.....ON CAMERA!! manages to escape with a 4 game ban.

The FA are an absolute joke! It's a joke that it took them nearly a whole damn year to even give him this poxy ban! If they want to stamp out racism then they aren't exactly setting a good example of doing so or going about it in a way to do so........Lets all be racist on camera when millions of people can see and basically get away with it.........lets be racist with zero evidence and slap him with an 8, 9 game ban.

Oh and Suarez was saying something in his native language and has colored relatives!!

The saddest part is I can't even pretend I'm surprised - a criminal judge found Terry's version of events extremely unlikely. Presumably with a lower threshold of proof required the FA panel found the man who is seen on tv spouting forth his vile sh#te more believable than the little Hispanic troublemaker.

A pesky johnny foreigner would have got 8 games.

How many black/Asian members do the FA have? They are the racists.

He's got 4 weeks off and over that time he'll do his 'guided' tours of shitehawk bridge and make double what his fine is.

      Punishment my arse.

      Whatever, I'm out.
