Can get dangerous those wooden tracks if they aren't kept up to standard. Jason Queally who won gold in Sydney nearly died when a sliver of wood entered into his chest after a fall!

Really?  I hadn't heard that (about Queally).

You think they would come up with something more technical than a hand though.  They must take some battering though.  Thankfully, there have been very few crashes here.
