      Torres for Carroll
      Feb 20, 2012 01:11:59 pm
Torres is a flop at Chelski ( not getting better ). Carrol is a flop at Liverpool ( albeit, getting a little better).

If Liverpooloffered $20 millfor him and offered Carrol to Newcastle for $20mill the net profit for Liverpool would be $15 million and also $15 million for Newcastle. Roman would lose $30 million, probably made that much on spot oilthis morning.

Bottom line, is Nando better for Liverpool or Carrol? I find it difficult to belive that King Kenny couldn't restore his confidence back?  The extra $15 million would buy us another striker as back up to Suarez/Torres.

      Really? This again?

That Judas' b***ard will never set foot inside Anfield again, barring when hes with his Plastic set of shithouses. Hes in the worst form of his life and is a shadow of the player that once had the privalge of gracing OUR pitch. I wouldn't swap him for a bag of spuds at the moment.

Hes gone, hes not coming back, move on, nothing to see here.

      Move on FFS.

Carroll is our player and he's been playing better than Torres in the last few weeks.

Judas doesn't want to be here so why should we buy him back?

I would swop Carroll for Torres, infact sadly I would swop Suarez for Torres, obviously I would prefer to swop Carroll than Suarez but it perhaps shows how much I think we need someone of Torres ability. Yes he is struggling with Chelsea and the way they play, but does anyone really believe he would struggle if he came back to us?

I honestly believe if we get the chance in the summer to bring Torres back for £20/25million we shouldn't even hesitate. Torres and Suarez like Gerrard and Torres before is a match made in heaven imo.

      sorry :(

Watching Torres, his game is awful, not just his goalscoring, but his touch, awareness, pace, hold up play, confidence all shot to piss.

Not to mention as he nears 30 and plays more games his injury problems will be back to F**k him up. Nobody will mourn!

Honestly mate, I don't think he would, Im convinced he would.

To the extent hes struggling at the moment? Perhaps not. But hes not just struggling at Chelsea, hes playing abysmal, and the fact he hasn't scored in over 20 appearances is just the pinical of that. Its evident hes not only lost that confidence and ability to find the net, but hes also lost a yard of pace. That burst of pace helped separate him from simply being a "good" striker and made him one of the best in the World. He was unique, but the attributes that made him unique he no longer possesses for me.

Nothing like the player he once was and frankly I find it f**king hilarious.

Personally wouldn't swap Suarez for any player in the league at the moment either, especially not that f**king ladyboy.

I cannot believe you would swap Torres for Suarez.
From your assessment, i highly doubt you've watched him play 10 games this season.
Torres is not the player he once was, he was always on the decline from 09/10, and moving to Chelsea has just sped up the process.
We sold him at the perfect time for 50 million. No looking back. You need to realize whatever club he play for, he will struggle. He is sh*te now. Absolute sh*te, and ive seen him many times this season.

Uefa rubbed further salt into Chelsea’s wounds last night by insisting they would’ve quite happily parted with the Champions League trophy for anywhere in the region of £50 million. President Michel Platini was keen to stress that whilst he would’ve hated to see an English team lift the prize, he’d much prefer to see his offshore bank account full of lots of zeros, and has urged Stamford Bridge owner Roman Abramovich to simply send a brown envelope with a smiley, rich looking face on the front next year.

Bit of a knee jerk thread after a good game by Carroll. Would i want torres back probably not solely because what he said when he left. I think he is a much better player than he looks at the moment his confidence is shot and Chelsea are much to slow getting it forward to him. I think if he goes for under twenty million to someone he will be a good signing because he will have less pressure on him. In relation to the question on a purely playing side we would be a much more dangerous side with torres partnered with Suarez ahead of Carroll.

If he came back he would probably have a spring in his step and be really excited resulting in goals but it won't happen and this is a pointless thread that will only go in circles.

Torres scored 9 goals in his last 23 games for us. This was when he was playing under Hodgson in the main part and recovering from injury. He scored 3 in four games under Kenny.

No problem with anyone who wouldn't swap Carroll or Suarez for him, but if we got the chance to buy him for a knockdown fee I think we should get him.

I agree it's a pointless discussion, as I think it very unlikely Kenny would want him back.

Torres and Suarez like Gerrard and Torres before is a match made in heaven imo.

      sorry :(

      whatever...WUM

Staggering some of the posts on here. I've got a pub full of Chelsea fans and I always tell them I'd have Torres back in a heartbeat. You know the funny thing, they all really like him and (unusually for them it has to be said) are very loyal to him, being convinced the media don't give him the credit for playing pretty well by and large.

I personally wouldn't want to swap either of our strikers for him out of choice, but IMHO he was the best striker (proper goalscorer I mean) who ever played for us. At around half of what we paid for him, I'd take him back in a heartbeat.

Tell you what, for the first goal if there's was a penalty I'm f*cking Dutch. Unbelieveable how many decisions they get.

Let me explain in case we have wires crossed. In the last 12 months + Torres was sh!t at Liverpool. If you think otherwise then its you fella!! who's talking out of your arse. Granted at his best...(( which we haven't seen for two years ))... he was world class.

      Now do we agree??
