      Robbie Fowler to Blackpool
      Mar 01, 2012 03:53:42 pm
Just heard on the radio Ian Holloway has confirmed Robbie has been training with the club and they are looking to sign him until the end of the season.

      Another reason to like Blackpool.

There looks to be some mileage in this. I'm sure God will be able to work a miracle or two for the Reverend Holloway.

How much would they have set you back, back in the day?

      Both brilliant goalscorers.

If they were in their pomp with prices as they are now... Fees would be daft.

Must be great to be a Blackpool fan nowadays if you have followed them for a while.

Very strong Liverpool-Blackpool links lately. Tom Ince, Shelvey, Wilson, Adam and now Fowler. That's just in the last year or so aswell.

I like the link, though think it would be even better for our younger players if Blackpool could get promotion, so then they would be getting Premier League experience.

Deal is off guys! Fowler rejected the move because he was offered just £100 a week to play...thats utterly disgraceful :(

      The F**k?

Sounds like their budget adjustment was maxed out and their board wouldn't sanction an increase in the wage bill.

He was apparently going to receive £5,000 for each appearance on top of that, but refused the deal as he wasn't match fit yet.

Only if he finished the 90 minutes!! Bit much of an ask for a 36 year old! I know he is a God and all but that's a bit much..
