Heard someone say it has been credited to Steven Gerrard?

      Anyone know anything about this?

Yeah, it was mentioned that that goal was given to him and he now has 149 goals for Liverpool.

      I don't know why!

It could have been going in but left foot from that angle is rather unlikely. Maybe they just felt that  one own goal for Bridcutt (sp?) was enough for the poor guy.

We were actually in the lower kemy (under the score board) directly on line with that goal from behind and it certainly looked like it was going in from where we were standing. Just that the Brighton lad helped it in sooner.

      Maybe that's the reason.

I just wanted to know who decided.

Was this an FA decision or just LFC's opinion? Can't seem to find a link to it.

      Yes there is.

A decision by them to award the goal to Gerrard would seem to be the most likely outcome here.

Thought this was Premier League only.

I wanted to know if it was official as to whether to credit Gerrard with the goal or not on the website's player stats.
