It's alright, we're going to buy Cavani/Lavezzi/Hazard/Muniain/Llorente/Martinez/Gotze and walk the league next year.

Carroll will come good too, he's only young.

The Mancs lost 3-0 at the Sports Direct Arena and we lost 2-0. Therefore more proof we are better than United.

I thought it was excellent how Carroll evaded his manager for his substitution. If we can get him to show that kind of movement in the box then we're onto a winner!

Winning the Carling Cup shows that we clearly have a better squad than City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs put together.

Put Coates up front next season and we will dominate all the competitions we play in after all we only need a striker to partner Suarez.

Could be worse I suppose we could of spent onwards of 350M on player and only have an FA cup to show for it as it looks as though Citeh is sinking and yet another year without a title.

For 110M we have done great in winning the league cup and being in the semi's of the FA.

Edit: Just remember that City came in as a runner-up in a charity shield so that 350m not entirely wasted.

Listened to radio last night and the sports editor for the Times (forget his name) made a good point.

He said that yes the club is underachieving but we shouldn't be surprised by being mid table because the players we invested in have either played there entire career at that level (Downing, Adam, Enrique) or the young players have never developed beyond that yet (Carroll, Henderson) and to expect them all to immediately turn into a top 4 player because they signed for a big club was never going to happen.

It just so happens that none of them have made the step up with maybe Enrique being the exception.

Had never thought of it like that before but still think we should have expected better from them.

Can't argue with that really, can we. But I would have hoped that some of them would have upped their game a bit.

They did at the begining of the season when we frankly played some great football and with someone on the end of the moves who knows...

It is a fair point though that was made, now it's important we add some extra quality to them to push us on next year.
