Glad to hear that they are doing a four hour alternative deadline day special from 5pm - 10pm on City Talk 105.9 FM.

Earphones on, Sky News off. That'll do me.

This club is ran awfully. Some right pricks have got big jobs here.

My dad was referring to something like this but I never heard the full story, what went on?

Only recently started listening to TAW, can't believe I didn't sooner, I love it!

The turnstiles weren't working properly and tons of people with tickets got locked out and family members would get separated because the turnstiles would work for some people, but not all. Then Ged Poynton (stadium manager) decided to blame the fans for the fiasco. It was later withdrawn and apologized for.

They're doing a deadline day show today on citytalk, should be good.

      Enjoyed Tuesday's podcast a lot.

      Well worth a listen:

      http://www.theanfieldwrap.com/2013/09/podcast-libpool-top-of-the-league/

When listening to the podcast people should realise that they are not meant to take as gospel the views of the people who are talking on that particular show and nor do the people who are doing the talking expect anybody to do so.

Just enjoy the debate. As it happens I found myself nodding and shaking my head throughout and I'd imagine that's what the guys would expect from listeners.

The host, Neil Atkinson, for me, is very good. Not sure he knows how knowledgeable he comes across when talking football but he makes some excellent points and as a host? I don't think there could be an Anfield Wrap without him now.

Excellent points regarding Johnson and Enrique.

I love all of the contributors even when I don't agree but Atkinson and Sean Rogers (when he can get on as he manages Mold FC) get my attention that little bit more when they talk shop.

I look forward to them all, especially the Monday pods.

Pleased to see it doing so well and still going strong.

Think they mentioned a link to go to and you can download it from there. I heard it on the last one.

Lads made some excellent points again following the Newcastle game and in particular about the bench selection and cracked a few jokes about what would have to happen for Flanno to get on the pitch! Wasn't a slight on the lad, but it just drilled home the point of how he was never getting on, so why was he on the bench?

There's also going to be an event down in London on the day of the Arsenal game if anyone is interested, for the life of me I can't remember the specifics of it now, but it sounded like a good day/night out if anyone in the area is interested. I've got a suspicion is was Hillsbrough related but don't quote me on that, I was drifting off to sleep by the time I heard them mentioning it!

TAW is nominated for best Podcast at The FSF Awards so if you like what the lads do (for free) give them a vote in here. Dead quick to be honest:

Also, for free again, the new mag, #TAW4, has gone live and you can get it here:

Be interesting as we play the Hammers next weekend as well.  Maybe they can get Kenneth Brannagh, Baby Spice or Paul Merton for the Spurs game, though I'd take Patsy Kensit or, for laughs, John Cena!

Was a good episode after the Spurs game - had an interview with Russel Brand aswell, which was interesting.

Andy Heaton was F***ing hammered though - was getting on my nerves to be honest, kept shouting over absolutely everyone and just wouldn't wrap up.

Its that awkward situation where the boss wants part of the fame and nobody can tell him that he is sh*te because he is the boss so he just keeps on getting involved.

Nice enough lad but I think he should sit back and admire his good work and to be fair he is not on that much. Monday wasn't his finest moment though. He has a very distinctive voice that on a podcast or radio can grind after a while.

But its still a great pod and a great mag that is free so kudos to him and the lads.

He's never really bothered me before, it was just on that particular occasion, you are right though, it's definitely the voice I think.

I think their analysis of games is great aswell, some of the stuff they serve up is much better than what you see & hear in the 'mainstream' media.

      After the Stoke game:

"Luis Alberto got a 6.2 in the Echo"

"it must have been a cracking warm-up"

"he's a credit to himself & his family"

Monday's Anfield Wrap was the best in a long time for me and was the kind of podcast that got me hooked a couple year back.

All my favourites on it and Sean Rogers is superb whenever he gets on.

      Well worth a listen.

The lads have put out what is quite frankly an excellent magazine online and once again it's totally free.

Includes this interview with Danny Sturridge who comes across as a cracking lad and fair play to Andy Heaton for asking him some great questions that other boring fuckers wouldn't.

      We'll worth a listen.

That link is to an interview in their online magazine mate not the podcast.

Monday's pod was a bit mad but Friday's post Derby one was good.
