Mourinho now says he will start at his new club on aJuly 1st but it'll be a difficult start as he'll not of been involved with the club before then.

That almost certainly rules us out then as there's no reason he'd have to wait until July 1st if he was joining us.

Probably helping their fans avoid the sh*t heap that is Goodison. There's a guy on TalkSport now bragging that he's been against Martinez since he came in and that he wants a guy that isn't available - Klopp As if they would ever get Klopp. The radio host responded with "yeah, good luck with that"

I actually and quite annoyingly reckon that they will get some one fairly good and will have quite a bit of cash to splash.
I would actually like them to improve somewhat and for them to get all caried away before we spank them home and away and at Anfield of the south in a couple of finals.

A few similarities between Rodgers' time at Liverpool and Martinez at Everton. Both at their clubs for 3 seasons, both had 1 extremely good league campaign coupled with 2 poor ones, and both got to two cup semi-finals in their last season. Both were riddled with defensive problems and started talking sh*te in interviews towards the latter end of their tenures. Both won no trophies.

Some people claimed we 'dodged a bullet' at the time by hiring Rodgers over Martinez, but would things had worked much differently if they had swapped clubs? I reckon the overall results would've been fairly similar
