Voxer / i.Voxer

Has anybody tried Voxer or i.Voxer yet?

I had an invite from a mate yesterday via text but I don't like opening links in case it's spam. I did a search on Google Play and found that it was a legit application.

Quite a simple idea really. Nowadays, most of us tend to send a quick text rather than calling. The advantage being that the recipient can read the text whenever it's convenient, rather than having to take a call.

Voxer is a way of sending a short audio message instead of a text to any friends with the app. It also works like a walkie-talkie with your message streaming 'live' to all participants in the chat.

It's free to send messages (presumably you need to be within your data allowance) and available for both Android and iPhone.

I haven't tried it yet so don't shoot the messenger if it's crap but it sounds like it could be quite amusing.

Yeah, I've had a similar app for almost a year now called talkbox http://talkboxapp.com
Haven't used it in a while but had fun with it. I remember last christmas me and my girlfriend were singing christmas songs to each other
