Who would be your Ultimate Fantasy Signing?

You know you're on the internet when "the greatest of all time" is rehashed about Messi from people who never actually seen Pele or Maradona play.  Interesting that the real Ronaldo in Brazil said Messi has to win a World Cup to join the likes of Pele and Maradona in the greatest ever player debate.

Well, i believe TV had already been invented when Maradona or Pele played...

That said, i wonder how many of the people who say Messi is the greatest of all time actually saw him play live. If you havent, then the case for Maradona and Pele applies just as well...You actually never saw any of them play.

I watched Pele on tape, and Maradona and Messi live, and i have to say Pele is BY FAR more complete than any of them: he used both legs, incredible in the air, and a true leader. His strenght was incredible, and he was a winner of all out there to win.

Just because he didnt play in Europe there is a shadow of a doubt about him. Please rent This is Pele (Isto e Pele) or Peles 1000 goals, and then we can discuss Messi vs Pele (Maradona comes 3rd for me)

As for the topic, as i just said, id sign who in my opinion is the second greatest player of modern times ( in respect to those lads who played before TV had such wide coverage)

Now you are just trolling. Define "best". As much as i rate garrincha, rivelino et al, they are nowhere near Pele. Not if you mesure by titles, by goals, by career, by ability, by versatility...well, garrincha was a better dribbler (perhaps the best ever), but im pretty sure Pele is above in every other department.

Maradona played with no team behind him, but Pele played against some of the best in history.

And by placing Zidane there you must be under 20. He is one of the best, but no chance in hell he goes before Cruyff, Di Stefano (equal to Maradona in my book), Puskas, Schiaffino, Eusebio, Zico, Beckenbauer, Rivelino...i could go on.

But, could his play and style work in the EPL? I would assume so because he is a once a generation player. But, I picked Xabi Alonso for 2 reasons. 1. He already played here and we know he can take the play in the EPL and 2. I just think he is exactly what this team needs.

Id like a bit more fight in that midfield. Id throw in a Toure type of player, and have a very hard time deciding who to exclude

I like the skill and talent of Ronaldo. He is such a powerful goal scorer and all around threat, but I just cant get over the constant diving. He is the #1 cheat in the game and its bullshit. 

That just really does it for me. His acting and bullshit rolling around in "Agony", then 1 second later running around perfectly fine.

Maybe Messi isnt as powerful and is more reliant on those around him, but he doesnt dive and doesnt cry and act like a bi*ch every time someone challenges him for the ball. He fights through defenders when he is in the box and scores, when Ronaldo is in the box he looks for the penalty. I will take a player with class and honor and respect for the game over Ronaldo.
