The next Liverpool FC manager?

Apparently Gylfi Sigurdsson hasn't signed for Swansea yet because he was waiting to see if Rodgers stayed as manager.

He could be on his way to LFC...

That would be a good signing, especially if we got him for the reported 7 million pounds. Don't see it happening though.

 He's already talked to Henry, course he has. In the real world, Rodgers agent will have been spoken to by a "representitive" of the club, and will have been well and truly sounded out as to whether or not his man was up for it. Once they got the green light (and no doubt the full details of the compensation package in the contract) Swansea were contacted and the thing gets into motion.

 I'm afraid those who have had their prayer mats out hoping Rafa is going to be our new manager are going to be disappointed. The new manager is going to be Brendan Rodgers, and the best the Rafa guys can hope for is that he gets some sort of DOF role at the club.

Yeah it got a bit strange when Sky starting running the story of a meeting later today.

Agreed. It's just to tie up the formalities today. The BBC wouldn't be running with their story if he hadn't even had an interview yet.

Well I'm going to say this much the whole Rodgers thing started with Duncan Jenkins tweet yesterday a couple of Journo's jumped on it and now he's being announced within 48 hours, sorry but I don't buy it.

Those same journo's were convinced Martinez had the job when he had a meeting.

This is something we knew was going to happen eventually. It's an interview not an unveiling at Anfield. We'll wait and see.

One things for sure.....hasn't been much coming out of Whelan's gob lately....and that seems to be a good thing no matter which manager you prefer

 People can live in denial all they like. Brendan Rodgers is our new manager and I wish him every success. I can't wait.

 He wasn't my first choice, but if I'd known at the start of the process what I know about him now then he might have been.

Seriously. The likes of Sky, the red tops etc. will have had someone watching Rodgers like a hawk. Anything out of the ordinary and they'd have been on it with an "exclusive".

They know as much as us about this and now they get one piece of info a leap on it.
