I don't think that matters to be honest if he was or not. Matt Busby was a Liverpool captain and look what he achieved. Carra was a boyhood Everton fan and he's as Red as they come.

He wasn't my first choice, but maybe without the "unrealistic" expectation, he may find it slightly easier to surpass our's and make us happy.

Think it will be much more about the management team than about Brenden this season. Get the right men around him with the right experience and who knows what we can achieve.
