This is how i see it,u can mock me all u want.

                                                      Mignolet
                                  Flannagan  Sakho  Skrtel  Moreno

                                                 Lucas  Gerrard

                                   Coutinho                         Sterling

                                              Striker     Striker

      "You", not "U"

Sakho and Skrtel should be swapped around LCB and RCB.
Lucas and Gerrard as the "pair" has been an abomination for us,
and you've got so little faith in any of our strikers that you've not named them.

3-4-2-1 on the other hand is the best formation at getting our best players all on the pitch at the same time.
4-2-2-2, which you've gone for, almost exposes the team for the lack of fit, quality, strikers at our disposal.

Not sure what game you guys were watching his passing was atrocious and he almost gifted bolton a goal by way underhitting a backpass to Mignolet.

Sakho is our defencive player of the season so far...

I agree but he had an off day against Bolton imo.

Sakho had one bad pass all game and to be fair Mignolet fumbled it and flapped.

Sakho had a dodgy 5 minutes as far as I could remember. Stalled in possession, and made a pass back which put us under pressure, and then a minute later got skinned.
The other 85 minutes were excellent.

What that is, is a terrible post. When you start quoting SKY's agenda to promote Mourinho as God reincarnated, you know you are stooping low. Brendans record isn't just "against Mourinho" it's against Chelsea. Given they are a very good team, it's only natural that wins against them for us (and everyone else for that matter) are hard to come by. The insinuation and implication that in some ways we were bettered over the two legs by managerial superiority or tactics is plain daft. We were AT LEAST their equal over the course of the two legs of the semi final and probably superior, and when you consider the strengths and investment placed in the two squads that's an excellent effort from our manager.

If we're going to slag Brendan for not having a great record "against Mourinho" who are we going to put up in his place?

Is right buddy - there's no like for like comparison - it's sh*t 'journalism', (which is only to be expected) but ffs don't reproduce it. Thankfully tho', no intelligent person will buy into it.

Mourinho is nothing more than a decent jockey on an excellent horse.

I could manage that F***ing squad to glory. It's as simple as this - the best players, invariably, win titles and trophies...

Chelsea won trophies under eleventynine different managers, before and after thon c**t. Was that down to decent managers or top quality players?

I know where the smart money is.  ;)

I don't think in terms of yesterday's defeat it makes any impact on Brendan Rodgers's LFC future.  A League Cup win AND an FA Cup final didn't save Dalglish - the board clearly couldn't give two fucks about domestic (or even Europa League silverware).

Having failed to qualify us from the CL group then his only other target was to finish in the top four.  It's either that or bust I would have thought.  No point us spending any more time arguing over it now.

Still think he could do with a trophy - even if it doesn't save his job then it would at least give his LFC record a better touch - been a while since we've had a new boss without a trophy in the opening 3 years.

If you can't see that sky are trying to bloat the rivalry between us and them like they've done for the last twenty years with the shower down the lancs then you may as well just give up. It's the only way sky can do coverage, try watching Setantas 3pm saturdays coverage, they actually just talk about football with not a jot of sensationalism or aggression.

Sky are cu*ts, especially where we are concerned.

      Definitely right JD.

Do you think they will sack him though if we fail to finish top 4? I'm not convinced they would. Definitely agree though that they don't care whatsoever about the cups

depends on the finish... just miss out and he'll get another chance... finish 6th or 7th and out of the running by April, and I think they'll run him out of town.

Obviously a Europa league cup win would chnage this too

4 Games???? thats 2 seasons worth!!! hardly a crisis concidering they are always a strong team... plus we only lost after 90minutes in one of those games, so last night is a 0-0 in my book

If they sack the manager again we might as well all give up and go home because we are being run by people who are utterly clueless.

I don't think they will mate.  I know they did with Kenny but he was never their man, Brendan is and he is key to their long term plans.

Unless we nosedive from here I think it's extremely unlikely. As it stands we are IMHO comfortably one of the best four teams in the league in our current guise. Naturally the table doesn't at the moment reflect that, but providing we keep playing somewhere near as well as we are at the moment we will be very close to the top four by the seasons end. Under those circumstances and given the fairly obvious reasons for our difficult start, it would IMHO be ridiculous to sack the manager.
