PES 2013

Early days but it looks fantastic and the new features are quality.

Pro Evo always add great features each year, but thy never count because of the one thing they never change... the god damn robotic movement, and from that video, it is still there.... we are in 2012 and they cant make a model turn a little smoother and realistically...

Agree about the robotic movement, that is a b***ard for me. But from what i can see they have improved it slightly, looking forward to the demo in August.

PES 5 was the best one. Did anyone else have it?

I did Neston. PES was it for me up untill a few years ago.

There was just something about PES 5 that made it a cut above any other football game I have played. The gameplay was way ahead of its time and the Master League game mode was brilliant. The PES franchise seems to have gone backwards since then.

I have a serve dislike for PES. It's gameplay movement just seems awkward and like ATK said, robotic. I am a FIFA fan and I will be purchasing this years version. 

PES has a huge amount of catching up, in my opinion.

Its this gen that PES started going downhill, Konami just haven't caught up yet, back on Playstation, PS2 and Xbox, PES was miles and miles above FIFA in gameplay, but FIFA have used this gens hardware to better affect and really improved year on year and their games now are always much better than the previous ones, like in FIFA 10 when they introduced 360 movement, then FIFA 11 added Personality Plus, then FIFA 12, they introduced tactical defending and the impact engine, and Im sure 13 will have another feature that will make for a much better game.

PES adds great features, but not game changers, were you can see clearly how much it has improved. They need to work on the animation first though, they must play and realise it feels like you running with wooden legs.

Looks like I'll be leaving PES alone again. Not bought it since PES 6 (The best footie game I've played pound for pound) and they to be honest with each passing year FIFA is drawing further ahead.

Shame because Konami used to kick EA's ass.

PES 5 was the best one. Did anyone else have it?

I had 5 and 6. For me, PES 6 was and still is the best football game I've ever played. FIFA at the time was so laughable in comparison. Once you got an Option File with updated rosters and kits for PES, it completely blew FIFA out of the water. Many, many hours were spent playing that one. But like other posters have mentioned, Konami never caught up to the switch to next-gen systems. The game is really a shadow of its old self now, so much so people are still modding the PC version of PES 6.

Nice. I'm looking forward to it. After playing FIFA past few years, I pulled out PES 2010 and played that a bit. Forget how rigid the player movement felt at times. Looking forward to seeing the improvements the franchise has made.

Outstanding post, couldn't of said it better myself. I have an old xbox with PES 5 for the sole reason of master league with a decent game engine.

I think I actually like the demo. The first touch is boss.

Can somebody tell me the difference between PES 2012 and 2013??  I can't find one.

Finally got around to playing this demo. Having not played PES since PES2010, this feels like a completely new game to me. I like it. I like the control on the ball and the manual passing and shooting, although I suck at both haha. Really like pressing R2 to trap and set up a shot, as well as the touches you can get on the ball.

Just dont have the same love anymore, it's gone so disappointing the last few years. Tried FIFA13 and have to say i honestly thinks its possibly the best footy game to date.

Better than PES 5 or 6?!

I haven't played PES since PES 2010, so the demo for this year's version was a completely different game to me. I really enjoyed it the more I played.

Ye i think it is, honestly.

Played both PES demo's for hours and it has improved but just not enough.

Played the FIFA demo and finding it hard to find any faults, it has the "wow" factor.

I've always felt that FIFA, while a great game in its own right, has the tendency to get stale pretty quick. I never felt that way with PES on PS2. FIFA is excellent in many regards, but I don't know, I get kind of bored with it and scoring the same type of goals all the time no matter what difficulty it's on. That said, the changes to negotiations in FIFA's manager mode are exciting.
