Hope that was actually tongue in cheek. Dirk only has 90 games for Holland

Emile Heskey had 62 games for England  :P

I love Dirk but even I am more technically gifted than him.Dirk read the game very well and scored some very important goals.

      :D

Good point mate. Point I was trying to make as he comes across to me as a player who works his ass off and pops up with important goals.

To be honest its like groundhog day and has been for 20 years they all come with great promise and then they seem to think they have made it coming here and do f**k all.
Lets hope this lad is different and I am sure we will all wish him the very best if he comes.

I know where your coming from lad. Don't mean to be critical of previous managers and not getting at any of them in particular but I feel certain players who we have bought in the past have not been managed correctly and maybe have had it easy. I don't see Brendan being as lenient. Time will tell I suppose.

Tiki Taka relies on aggressive, hard pressing from the strikers, all the way back to the defenders, with the team moving in unison and compressing the play, so this guy should fit right in if the reports are accurate.

Quite excited by this signing - he'll score a shitload of goals, then we'll sell him to chelsea for 57 million ;) where he'll stop scoring :D

We won't be playing Tiki Taka, we'll be playing the Liverpool Way, Brendan said so!

So it looks like we have finally made our first signing in the Rodgers era. It feels like it's been a long wait but in reality it hasn't.

Borini to Liverpool all but done, fee of £7.9m (€10m) seems very good business

That is good business if that really is the fee we are going to pay for him.

Come on, LFC, just confirm it! Our transfers always seem so much like a soap opera, never ending drama and all that! I just want a new player to get all excited even though I never watched him play ;D

      Same here, Diego.

I'm waiting for Dave Whelan to announce that we have completed this signing.

Excited about the impending signing. Dont think his track record makes him the best target in the world but hes a poacher and we badly need one.... 15 goals a season a he will be a revelation compared to some of the strikers we have signed! BR is clearly a fan and obviously seen what he is capable of and thats enough for me...

Im anticipating one more striker to come and go...

      Exciting times!

I like what I've seen of Borini. But, if I'm being honest, I'm keeping my expectations reasonable. I'm thinking somewhere around 12 league goals from him this season. I'd be pretty happy with that.

Be over the moon with 12 goals from him...didn't Luis only have 11 league goals last season?
